Vanguard, Coolie No.1

Watched two movies as mentioned above.

Vanguard

  • This movie was watched on big screen after ten months. Yes people after 10 months I watched a movie on the big screen.
  • Last movie watched on big screen was on Feb 06, 2020 was Parasite
  • This movie Vanguard was watched at Lakshmi theatre, Tavarakere.
  • I liked the movie.
  • Starring Jackie Chan, this movie is a Chinese dubbed movie.
  • It basically shows the Chinese Psyche.
  • Chinese people want to work with people all around the world but they do not want to get involved with someone who is involved in terrorism and wants to harm innocent
  • Almost all countries will be like that.
  • Except probably Anglo-Saxons like Americans or Australians or British or Canadians, more specifically America the Great US of A, they will not bat an eyelid while bombing countries for "regime change" or support terrorists as a front against others, much like British used to support "Pirates" on high seas and carry out "false flag" operations (False flag originates from seas where ships hosting "false flags" will attack other ships).
  • This movie is shot in London, Africa, India, Dubai
  • The segment shot in India (Rajasthan) is made to look like Arab country of North or Central Africa.
  • While the owners speak Arabic in India segment, the assistants to owners are speaking in Hindi.
  • Movie is a non-stop thrill ride and definitely worth watching

Coolie No.1

  • This movie was watched on Amazon Prime Video.
  • Before watching this movie I was wondering why David Dhawan did not release it on the big screen.
  • I thought that if it would have got released on big screen I would have been one of the first persons to watch it.
  • But now after watching it on small screen I realise David Dhawan did great.
  • No need to release the movie on big screen and face possible "disaster" due to lack or crowds or "bad publicity".
  • Movie is not bad but the problem is people will compare it old "Coolie No.1" and Govinda and Kader Khan.
  • That is the problem with actors also they would have watched the original several times and try to mimic the original.
  • I will say in situation like that all actors have done great job.
  • Actors like Javed Jafri, Varun Dhavan, Sara Ali Khan and Paresh Rawal among others have proved that they cannot be counted out in these 'modern times'.
  • Since it is a cheating case or case of fraud in movie the sadness especially of Sara Ali Khan when her husband does not return is captured in brief moments perfectly.
  • Movie is worth watching once if not more.
  • It may also encourage curiosity for you to watch the original and compare.

Water not Weapons, Erturul Season 2

Watched two more documentary and series as mentioned above.

Water not Weapons

  •  This documentary was made on Dr Tetsu Nakamura, a Doctor by profession and a great man who was involved in Afghanistan and was directly responsible for greening hundreds of thousands of hectares of barren wasteland.
  • He worked hard for the welfare of the people.
  • Wouldn't it be nice if Anglo Saxons and other people part of NATO war do such kind of things instead of drone bombing and helicopter attacks on people.
  • The whole idea if people have water and are involved in agriculture and trade they would have no time for war.
  • Please I appeal to all people please watch this documentary.
  • Share them with your leaders and policymakers.
  • No sane man or woman will ever want war.
  • They want to prosper and war is no way to prosper.

Erturul Season 2

  • After completing Season 1 of Ertugrul, I watched Mirzapur two seasons and Paatallok and now I have started watching Ertugrul Season 2.
  • Just like I had though earlier, this season deals with the conflict between Mongols and the Turk tribes.
  • I have only watched till Episode 16 till now, there are 103 episodes as per Search.
  • Still long way to go.
  • But this series is definitely worth watching.
  • We have to think where do the Turk tribes origin Analysed here
  • So what we can understand that Mongols and Turks have same origins perhaps separated by a few thousand years.
  • Turks embraced Islam but Mongols did not but ultimately Mongols did assimilate in the lands they conquered.
  • Wherever they settled ultimately Mongols became part and parcel of that country and that is the story.
  • But the invading Mongols were very brutal.
  • It is amazing that Turk tribes were able to survive the onslaught.
  • Maybe the 103 episodes of Season 2 will show how they were able to survive maybe it will throw a glimpse.

Paatallok Conclusion, De Gaulle Documentary

Watched several things over the past few days. Just recollecting a few as below. Obviously did not watch any movies. It is only series and documentaries.

Paatallok Conclusion

  • This series was concluded on Amazon Prime.
  • I felt this series runs around and needed to be concluded somehow.
  • But the producer/director brought the "love of dogs" equation into the picture.
  • But if their aim was to get rid of Vishal Tyagi they could have got rid anyway.
  • But they had bigger plans.
  • After the death of the elusive rebel, they did not have a choice.
  • And they thought of going big.
  • But I do not understand how a plot hatched to eliminate someone and blame on Pakistan falsely can propel a new party to national limelight.
  • Maybe the plot was more complex. I did not get it.
  • But anyway I am not watching it again.

De Gaulle Documentary

  • This documentary was watched on TV5 Monde French Channel with English subtitles.
  • What I have to say De Gaulle lived a life which was never without a "dull moment".
  • Every second, every month and year of his life was eventful.
  • He was the person who made modern France as it is today.
  • He transitioned the country from First World War to Second World War to the end of France overseas colonies.
  • He was a true person who was not afraid of any country or person.
  • In Second World War during taking refuge in Britain he used to argue and fight with Chuchill all the time.
  • He was friends with all leaders he came across in his life.
  • He strove to keep France free from American influence and keep unique French identity.
  • France is more than just language. It is different to Anglo Saxons.
  • He was supporter of rights of Quebec and Mexico and other weaker countries.
  • He brought about a smooth transition and transfer of power in Algeria and repatriated more than 1 million  disgruntled French occupiers who were claiming Algeria as their own.
  • Overall worth watching.
  • He has dealt with all persons starting from Churchill to Stalin to Castro to Kennedy to Kruschev.
  • I will say they do not make people like them De Gaulle no more.
  • Truly a great man. A man from different times.
