Bengaluru Steel Flyover

I will say there has been a lot of debate both for and against the Bengaluru Steel Flyover.
In this post I will try to outline a few points.

• People will try to paint it as a Congress BJP conflict.
• But the fact is it is not a Congress BJP conflict.
• Each party wants to use the issue for its advantage.
• Now I just read an interview where DV Sadanada Gowda is linking UP Elections with the Steel flyover.
• Let me tell that it is foolishness and malice on part of BJP to link a distant UP Elections with the Steel flyover issue.
• The issue is actually between "politician builder" nexus.
• It is the same thing like politician bus operator nexus which is not making the one way happen again in Madivala.
• What has happened in Madivala let me outline:
• Madivala there is too much traffic around the St. Johns hospital area.
• There has been experiment of one way and then traffic used to flow smoothly.
• Then work was started for cementing the road near Madivala market.
•  For several months, traffic was restored to two way and it was decided to resume one way after the completion of the cementing work.
• Now the cementing work is completed but the one way will never happen again?
• Why? because of the bus operators.
• They take the straight road to Madivala Masjid and then take a U-turn there and join to pick up the passengers. 
• In the absence of that they have to take a full roundabout after St. Johns hospital.
• So the Govt./traffic police simply obliged to this bus operator mafia and two way is continuing as it was inconveniencing thousands as the traffic is simply too heavy.
• If it was one way, traffic flow would have been faster but not anymore.
• They have even cemented the divider so that no one thinks about making it one way again.
•  Now let us go back to the earlier flyovers.
• There are three main flyovers to look out for:
• Flyover at Mohammad Ali Road in Mumbai
• Flyover over KR market at Bengaluru
• Flyover at Hosur road (Silk board to Electronics city).
•  Apart from this there are flyovers in other cities like Hyderabad and Kolkata but we can ignore those for now.
• When KR market flyover was done it was like a boon. I had come to Bengaluru in 1996 and there was no flyover at KR market. Fast forward to 2002 when I came to Bengaluru there was already this flyover at KR market.
• Similarly the Md Ali flyover at Mumbai was not there in 1998 but by 2002 it was up and running.
• Hosur Road flyover construction also started right before my eyes late in 2006 and by 2010 Feb it was open for public.
• All there flyovers were like "ready to assemble" ones.
• The pillars were built in place but the structures which were to support the vehicles were built elsewhere and just shipped and fitted.
• That makes the construction speed too fast and completion sooner.
• Now if you build a bridge at the spot it takes time.
• But if you assemble it after importing the parts from elsewhere it happens fast.
• It is much like furniture. If we build in out house it will take months. but if already ready to assemble ones are ordered it would take days.
• Now the Hosur Road flyover was a disaster. I think the road comes under National Highways Authority of India which is under central Govt. And when Hosur Road flyover was built there was UPA i.e. Congress in Center. Also the contractors were from Hyderabad and Govt. in Andhra Pradesh (capital hyderabad) was Congress and there was a like minded Govt. here in Karnataka.
• Unfortunately, when such kind of flyover work has already commenced, nothing can be done by succeeding Govt.
• And BJP Govt. did not come into power on its own in Karnataka until 2008 when much of the flyover work was already done.
• But we should not elevate the BJP as we know that much of area around the Agara lake was developed when BJP was in power in the state.
• Also they were planning to build two underpass in Koramangala and a flyover from Shoolay Circle till Silk Board.
• Those underpasses never happened and gladly we don't hear about the elevated road from Shoolay Circle till Silk Board.
• What we hear about now is the flyover from Chalukya Circle till Hebbal.
• I will say this flyover is welcome if the Govt cannot find any other option.
• Why is it better than Hosur Road flyover I think. It is because of below:
• Hosur Road flyover has no exit. Once you enter you exit at the end and its bad. The Steel flyover will be having plenty of exits.
• Hosur Road flyover is blatant builder-land owner nexus. Where they want to "jack up" property prices at the other end of the road. This steel flyover wants to improve access to airport which is always welcome. Property price and acccess should be secondary when airport is involved. At Hosur Road there is no airport.
• Hosur Road flyover is paid road. The Govt. promises the Steel flyover to be free. And that should be the criteria for the same. Money collection should not be the motive of Govt.
• At Hosur Road following flyover we find no trees in the entire stretch. For steel flyover the Govt. has promised 60000 trees in place of 1000 or 2000 which will be lost which is fair enough.
• Much of the land 80% is Govt owned. So Govt. can always use its land for the betterment of the city. We do not know if the Hosur road flyover was built on Govt land. Maybe not.
• The Hosur Road was built by Center Govt and not state so there was not good planning.
• This Steel flyover is being built at the heart of the city at the heart of where the State govt is based so obviously they will think how best to help the citizens of the city. The Chief Minister is also taking personal interest in this.
• Metro access to airport can happen anytime and through any route of the nine routes suggested by the Govt.
• But no harm in having a latest flyover from Vidhan Soudha till Hebbal where it can join the Airport road.

Liked this movie. It is too good. It shows how criminal people can become.
You don't need to watch horror movies because the crimes people commit makes real life like a horror story.

Missing on a Weekend
Watched this movie on Airtel Miniplex HD Channel after recording on pen drive. It is okay to be watched once. But not a good movie at all I feel.

Was watching this movie on Airtel Zee Cinema HD Channel after recording on pen drive.But found the dialogues to be censored. So immediately re-joined Netflix where I knew this was on offer and could watch it uninterrupted and liked it. It is a sad story. The thing is man is getting squeezed and when he tries to help others his efforts get hindered.
Cycle Kick
This movie was also watched on Airtel Star Gold HD Channel after recording on pen drive. It is very good movie. It shows how a cycle unites two different people and they decide to work together to defeat a bigger adversary in a football match. Worth watching.

Russia India

• Russia India Relations should be the title of this blog post.
• I can tell for certain that Russia and India have been partners for decades.
• Erstwhile it was the Soviet Union and now the successor state is Russia.
• Now what has been happening is that US has been "cozying up" to India.
• And US has been protesting and obstructing Russia for several years now.
• US traditional ally has been Pakistan.
• But now India under BJP rule is a "new damsel" who is offering herself to US.
• US cannot just ignore such a beauty and wants to bed with India.
• Now Russia is alarmed what is it do?
• First it goes after US traditional ally Pakistan and then it goes back to the drawing board.
• What does it find? It finds that BJP ruled India is aggressive towards Pakistan.
• So Russia sacrifices Pakistan for India.
• This aggressive India wants to wage war against Pakistan.
• Now we have seen much of the military equipment of India is Russian made.
• Now when war is waged spare parts would be required in tens of thousands.
• War with Pakistan cannot be waged by India without Russian support.
• Russian technicians have to be on the ground with Indian forces if war is to be waged or if war has to happen between India and Pakistan.
• Much like what is happening in Syria.
• Without Russian support war cannot be waged with Pakitan and that Modi and BJP ruled India have realized.
• India under Modi and BJP have reversed the policies of Dr.Manmohan Singh where there was less and less engagement with Russia and slowly slowly India was moving towards US.
• Modi and BJP soon reallized that US is a hard nut to crack.
• I mean it is US for crying out loud. They have CIA and FBI and they have waged a "War on Terror" for 15 years.
• I was also watching video on Youtube that there was no plane which struck the World Trade Center.
• I mean if the US can fake something like 9-11 and even the moon landing what is India.
• India can cozy up to the US all it wants but it would be very easy to take "India for a ride" by the US.
• US has been able to "fool the world" for decades. What is India. Indian people can be fooled easily.
• I feel even BJP and Modi have realized this.
• And now elections in US are happening and BJP and Modi knows both Hillary and Trump are very unpredictable characters.
• Hillary is a highly unstable lady.
• Trump would be a very tough taskmaster.
• No more Obama and Modi bromance would be happening in the future.
• Both Hillary and Trump would try to take the juice out of Modi and India.
• And Russia is desperate.
• Russia is totally becoming like outcast.
• So like in earlier blog I had outlined (http://anup2016.blogspot.in/2016/09/world-war-scenario.html), Russia now has to engage itself everywhere where America is engaged else it will get wiped out.
• Now survival of Russia depends on "containing US" at least in the regions where it "sphere of influence exists" like South Asia, East Asia, Middle East and Europe.
• US is truly a global power and its power extends to whole world.
• But Russia has to think for itself and survive and hence it has committed itself to help India in any way possible before US takes over India.
• Russia does not care whether there is a "hardline Hindu" Govt in India.
• It has to engage with whoever is in power in India.
• All the while China is laughing their asses off.
• China is least affected by what is happening between India Pakistan and US Russia.
• But China subject is different and cannot be brought into this picture.
• For China economic development is paramount and China is trying to grow itself through economic development.
• If India is not offering place for Chinese interests to grow, China will find a way through its neighbours like Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Pakistan.
• For Russia it is about survival and relevance in this modern world.

Watched this movie on Airtel Miniplex HD Channel.
I liked this movie. It is okay for a one time watch.
This movie deals with pre independence India and how Brahmins were discriminated against by the British as they were not considered to be a "martial race" and hence were denied entry to the Army.
They were told to do "bhajan kirtan".
And then Plague happened British Indian Govt. sent the people to concentration camp like situation. Like if in a locality a person suffered from plague, the entire locality was vacated. And in fear people used to hide the plague patients and the bodies out of fear of not getting evicted.

Watched this movie on Tata Sky Showcase HD Channel. Fully enjoyable movie. I liked it too much. To tell the truth I did not want the movie to end.. But all good things must come to end and so did this movie.


Welcome to Sajjanpur
Watched this movie on Miniplex HD Channel on Airtel HD Channel.  This movie is too good. This movie is ahead of its times. It could predict how the democracy is being misused by powerful individuals to their advantage by denying rights to minorities and others.
In this initial certificate it is mentioned as "Mahadev ka Sajjanpur" since the main character name is Mahadev. But such a kind of title would have brought the "Hindu brigade" in full force and so it was renamed as "Welcome to Sajjanpur".

Trump and Clinton Debate

This blog post is about Trump and Clinton Debate.
I watched this debate today moring and I have few observations which I will outline below:

• Both Trump and Clinton fought too hard and both are fighters.
• But Trump was more like a gentleman and Hillary was less like a lady.
• By electing Hillary also known as "Kill"ary we have to realise that we would not be electing a "lady" but a "character worse than a human". Trump has correctly described her as "crooked Hillary"
• Sanders had given hope to millions of Americans but this "corrupt system" "swallowed him whole" and he just "ceased to exist".
• For the way the candidacy of Sanders was handled for that reason alone people should not vote for Democrats.
• What I feel America is on its way down. Its power is diminishing in the world.
• It is only identified as a "troublemaker" in much of Asia, Africa and Middle East. Perhaps even in North and South America. Only people who would be appreciating America is Europe (Western Europe mainly) and Australia and Oceania.
• Now when Hillary is elected President, I have a feeling that there will be further downfall of America. People will cease to look towards America as a "hope" and a leader.
• With Trump at the helm we can expect something different.
• Trumps catchphrase has been "Lets make America Great Again" and "America first".
• Whether Americans acknowledge it or not their ultimate aim is to work for the development of themselves. In the meantime they forget about their country.
• Trump being a long standing businessman knows the big picture and he can know how to benefit the country when people work for themselves.
• If we see what Obama has done much of his effort has been in "destroying countries abroad" while not thinking about US of A even 1%.
• Trump is not thinking of destroying other countries. He wants to work with existing countries for the common good. 
• "Regime change" is not on his agenda. And for that reason only we should elect Trump as President.
• Everybody kept quiet when ISIS emerged. Only when Trump came around he raised the issues as to why ISIS emerged.
• ISIS emerged because Obama and Clinton withdrew from Iraq completely while supporting rebels in Syria. Remember we are not talking about Syrian rebels but "rebels in Syria" who were nothing but "bunch of foreigners".
• Now Syria and Iraq are next door neighbours. It was very simple for the rebels to forget about Syria and move to greener pastures in Iraq and that is what happened.
• Then in Afghanistan, Obama did an Iraq type surge and increased tp 150000 troops but what happened? The war has not ended and 15 years are over. It is America's longest war now.
• Destruction of Libya is another thing. Libya was one of the most developed nation under Gadaffi but Hillary/Killary antics just destroyed the country.
• All this issues no one had the courage to take up and bring it to notice.
• Only Trump could take up this issue. He had the courage and willpower and knowledge.
• He is an empowering person and empowered all (men and women) with the power of knowledge.
• "Trump is like Gandhi". There is a saying in Hindu religion. "Whenever injustice increases tremendously, God himself comes to the world in human form to rescue the world". Trump is like Gandhi like God has sent who has come to America to rescue the nation.
• America has hope with Trump and certainly not with Hillary.
• Republicans should realise this and come behind Trump. Else Republicans will be swept away under a tide of Democrats who have no "principle" and will ruin America further.
