Concussion, The Ouija Experiment, Orange is the New Black

Watched two movies and one TV Series as mentioned below.
------------------------------------------------
Concussion : This was watched on Tata Sky Showcase HD Channel. Movie is worth watching. But the thing is that though the movie story is about a decade and a half old they have made it like a 60's movie. "the more things change the more they remain the same" they say.
------------------------------------------------
The Ouija Experiment : This was watched on Netflix. Okay to watch once. It is a cross between an actual horror movie and like "documentary horror movie" like Blair Witch project which was the about the first to gain prominence in recent times, I believe.
------------------------------------------------
Orange is the New Black : Watched all the 3 seasons which means the full 13*3=39 episodes on Netflix. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Though the movie is about ladies, I feel gents will also find something to learn from the episodes. But we can know that the story is not about very hard core criminal prison but somewhat a mid-pro prison where there is a little bit of freedom available. And we know when men's prison would be involved there will be more violence, more tattoos, more bulging biceps and more abusive language involved we have seen such movies like Con-Air and even in the first episode of Season 2 of OITNB they have shown a sample. There is plenty to learn from the episodes especially the case where they show the flashbacks of how these women turned 'criminal'.
But trust me since the story is about "women prisoners" that is what makes it exiting and fun to watch isn't it? Nobody wants to watch the same stories of male prisoners. It will just be ugly and boring. It just shows how the society is getting more more skewed in favor of women.
Also, I would like to thank Netflix that due to them I was to watch it and that too without any dialogues cut and words bleeped out. I mean the episodes were not censored and I could watch on my own time. No way I could have followed a schedule if I watched on TV. Certainly I believe medium like Netflix is the way to the future. You can watch on your own time and pace and leisure and no ads are there to bother you. Plus you get to enjoy the way the director meant for viewers to see it.
Not like heavily censored as the content presently available on TV.
------------------------------------------------
I now believe that this is plot and a conspiracy to keep people under subjugation. They do not get the content they "should see" so easily. They need to have a Netflix account and a broadband connection and then they can be looted by the telecom providers and the service providers. It is a ploy to keep them as slaves. Slaves to the system and they cannot get the content "for free". Actually nothing is free. Even a DTH connection costs. So I cannot understand why the people can't get the content they deserve?

The Conjuring, Waar

Watched two movies as mentioned above.
The Conjuring : This movie was watched on Netflix. I had seen the movie earlier and so it is second time I watched the movie. It is definitely worth watching.
Waar : This is Pakistani movie which I wanted to watch on Netflix but unfortunately Netflix presently is offering only one Pakistani movie to Indian users which I have seen already "Na Maloom Afraad".
Now since Youtube was banned in Pakistan for a long time (since 2012), this Waar movie was unavailable on Youtube. If Youtube was not banned someone long back would have uploaded it. But now it is available and watched the movie. It is too good movie and action sequences are excellent and all people especially Indians and Westerners should watch this movie so that they get perspective of terrorism from the Pakistani side.

Cultural baggage of Twitter

I will say that I have been using Twitter for a few days and what I feel is as below:
  • Twitter is like carrying on an extra baggage on your bag. You feel burdened if you have a Twitter account.
  • Twitter forces you to be fixated to your screen. It gives you less freedom of movement compared to watching TV or Watching a movie or going for a walk and the like.
  • People you follow you become subjected to them. So what happens Twitter ensures that you get a dose of cultural hegemony.
  • The cultural hegemony is what can be termed a "cultural imperialism of Twitter"
  • Just like the British ruled over India in pre-independence times, Twitter simply rules over you.
  • So what do you need to do? To get away from the cultural hegemony of Twitter.
  • You can stop following people.
  • You can uninstall it from your smartphone/tablet.
  • Best is if you delete the account. Like they say in India "Na bachega baas na bajega bansuri". It means that if the musical instrument is destroyed/removed from the picture then there is no way that tune can be played and thus noise pollution can be avoided.
So after analysing the above, I have decided to delete Twitter account once more. Please note that while writing this blog I have already unfollowed more than 1500 people/accounts and already removed the Twitter app from my smartphone.
But I will analyse what I have done before coming to this decision.
  • I had opened two accounts like I had outlined in another blogpost.
  • Then I searched whether accounts can be merged in Twitter and Twitter says that they have no facility to merge accounts.
  • So I decided to follow all from one account in the other.
  • Then I unfollowed all from that account and then I deleted the account.
  • So I was left with only one account with around 1500 accounts/users I was following. 900 + from one account and 500 + from another account.
  • Now what happened that the news feed was too crumpled and then I realised very important facts.
  • Twitter is like a Window from a train (for example). You cannot keep peeking out of the window you will go crazy. You keeping peeking out from time to time and then you get a picture which is the picture at that very instant; what you missed you missed you cannot get it back. The Twitter window is the Newsfeed which we get.
  • What happens in Twitter stays in Twitter. That is applicable for those who stay in Twitter. But those who leave Twitter it doesn't matter. Also like I write about Twitter in the blog it not the same for me anymore that 'What Happens in Twitter stays in Twitter'.
  • I feel Twitter creates a few "dummy accounts" by itself. Else someone does it using Twitter. They are like 'mechanical accounts' and they follow you like 'automatically', like 'bots'. Just so that you feel that Twitter is for real. I mean nothing wrong with that. You feel wanted and you feel 'valued'. It helps people who are depressed with life, they take confidence in the fact that they have several followers. How I knew it? I knew it from the fact that a few accounts which followed me had the same pattern of images.
In the end I will say Goodbye to Twitter and will try to praise those who carry this "Twitter baggage" around their lives. They can continue to lead their lives and help and inspire others while still being on Twitter and that is great.

Shaver Use

This blog post is to outline that I have found use for the Philips Aquatouch and it is to shave my cheeks and lower neck area and thus keep a little beard which is known as "French Cut". The image is below:
I tried all. Using the machine for clean shaving every day is too much to ask for. What I observed that the Philips Aquatouch works fine and cleans the face of all unwanted hair. It cleans such that in one day you don't feel like it has grown. But in one and half days you need to reuse it. Thus a half day more than one day is enough to make the facial hair grow.
Then you need to reuse. Thus the "struggle" to clean your face by shaving remains.
Then I tried to shave just the cheek and leave a line of hair near the ear and below the chin intact. In any case the moustache was not to be touched. But it does not look good I felt.
I realised then one very important fact. That if you have a full beard you do not need to shave for almost or close to one month. But if you keep a "French cut" like one I have above, you do not need to not shave for that long. One week is enough.
The French cut I sport above is six and half days long. Thus choice was simple for me. Since I already paid close to 4000 rupees for Aquatouch I can ill afford not to use it. I have also bought foam can to go along with it. Thus this is "best of both worlds".
I still get to use my Philips Aquatouch and and leave the French cut as it is. And when it grows I can use the Philips Trimmer (can only trim and not shave) as well.

Tumblr, PinInterest and Facebook

Since I touched upon Twitter and Linkedin in earlier post, I will try to touch upon the other three which I am using namely, Tumblr, PinInterest and Facebook.
Tumblr : I have never deleted this account ever. This is great way to view images and GIF's. NSFW stuff is plenty. But one drawback I noticed you have no option to stop "autoplay of GIF's". They happen naturally. So what I feel that they will be consuming a lot of data. Much like Youtube or other websites which HD video at first loaded based on the Net speed they adjust the speed. In Twitter you can block all images as well as stop "autoplay of videos and GIF's"
PinInterest : This is great way to get knowledge and info but since there is 'no nudity clause' there will be less use by me.
Facebook : I will not open this account ever again and that is what I have decided because they do not allow nudity and they have the system of 'penalising users' who send unwanted Friend Requests or post 'objectionable content'.
By the way, Twitter also has a system issue when one tries to follow "too many people" in one shot. But it gets resolved in a day or two. It is not like Facebook which bans user for 15, 30 or 45 days altogether. Also while Twitter has a System issue, Facebook is more like a 'punishment doler'. Just like teachers punish us in young times like "stand up on the bench" or "kneel down", similarly Facebook punishes its users.

Twitter and Linkedin

I must tell that I have restarted accounts with Twitter and Linkedin. There are reasons for the same and I will try to outline them below:
Twitter
I get up at around 7 AM and then cleaning lady comes to our house at 7:30. So I have about 30 minutes to do stuff. Maybe read the paper or watch TV channels or go through Internet. What I mean to say there is just not enough time to do something worthwhile.
So one day I began browsing "nudes" at Google images. Then one link led to a Twitter user page which was "protected". It was an image off a 'shemale'. Thus I opened the Twitter account to access the 'protected account'.
But then it is not that easy to access the page is it. So I began searching for other images on Twitter. Ones whose accounts are not protected. "Images of shemales" but those were a little hard to come by. But there were and are plenty of nude images of ladies. Yes naked women and nude selfies were plenty.
Then I began to follow many such pages. Then since I have associated with Twitter for long (though I have kept deleting the accounts), I began following other pages, ones with Politics or with photography.
Then what happened the NSFW stuff and SFW stuff collided and it became a clutter. Since I was primarily using it in smartphone, I saw that there is a feature to add another account. So I used my other Email ID to create another account and then I made that account purely NSFW and the SFW account was different. The SFW account was where I followed celebrities, WWE, TNA, News and politicians among others. And the NSFW account was where I got my dose of the nudity available on the Internet for which the Internet is so popular.
Linkedin
Linkedin is for building a career network. I went back my history and realised that after MBA I worked with Wipro and then when they did not give the support or recognition I deserved I left and then did SAP-FI course with NIIT. It was my luck that NIIT and SAP disassociated themselves when I completed the SAP course and so I was left without getting posted to any job.
Then a branch office of my father was opened but at the end of 2015 it was shut down. So now I am stuck without any worthwhile job and any job will prove good to be me. I hope Linkedin helps me find the same.

Peabody and Sherman, Tamasha, Fitoor

Watched three movies as mentioned in the subject line.
Peabody and Sherman : Watched this movie on Tata Sky Showcase channel. Movie is too good and worth watching.
Tamasha : Watched this movie on Tata Sky Showcase channel. Movie is too good and worth watching at least once. In this movie they have shown that 'real life' is a Tamasha and we should try to find our 'inner self' and ensure that even if it is a 'Tamasha' (or show) it should come from our hearts.
Fitoor : Watched this movie on Tata Sky Showcase channel. Only after watching twice or thrice I could get the essence of the movie and then realised it is too good.
