Ertugrul Season 2 Episode 38

  • Presently continuing watching Ertugrul Season 2.
  • Now reached till Episode 38.
  • Around December 19 had reached till Episode 16.
  • Around November 2 had started watching it.
  • Some days back we got the news that Ertugrul dies in the series Krurulus : Osman
  • Well Episode 38 has a scene where the villian a Mongol named Noyan invokes the Ancient Gods of the Mongols while his "Shaman", Ulu Bilge beats away the drums.
  • After watching it I also came across the news that the show has been banned in some countries.
  • Apart from the politics behind the ban, another reason for the ban could be naked portrayal of "Paganism" and "Shamanism" shown in the series.
  • Particularly Noyan mentions the Gods and historical figures like below:
  • After seeing the above in Google and Wikipedia, I came to certain conclusions.
  • Turkik and Mongols and to some extent Bulgarian and Hungarian people have their origin in Central Asia (common origin).
  • Just look at this two headed symbol which is the symbol for Slavs and Turks.
  • Across many countries this symbol is common
  • Even Aryans which descended on Indian subcontinent came from Central Asia.
  • Russia is Central Asia.
  • So all the regions are linked starting from Mongolia to the vast Central Asian region and Siberia stretching all the way into Central Europe.
  • Christianity and Islam came much later.
  • If we disregard religion and see race and ethnicity we may find Turks and Mongols have common history separated by several hundreds of years.
  • In the meantime Christianity and Islam happened and the Turks converted and then began the new Mongol invasion like under Chengiz Khan and so on who still practiced the old religion and old Gods.
  • These Mongols were heretics and did not believe in Islam or Christianity but ultimately they got assimilated in the countries they invaded.
  • If we see the history of Indian subcontinent similar thing happened.
  • Aryan invasion destroyed the Ancient Indus valley civilisation and in its wake left an area which came to have a new culture under Caste System.
  • Buddhism then emerged in India and was exported around the Asian region but then the "Hindus" "came back with a vengeance".
  • Basically this "new Hindusim" eliminated Buddhism while seeing other religions as "outsiders" and that led to demand for Pakistan.
  • These "new Hindus" are like the "new Mongols" shown in Ertugrul Season 2.
  • The "old Mongols" are nothing but the Turks shown in the series.
  • Hence Ertugrul Season 2 is must watch not only for the history it shows but for the present real world implications.
  • It is not about being right or wrong but what you believe in.
  • Whether you acknowledge your origin else if you deny your origin or manufacture false ones you may face an existential crisis where you may be forced to question your existence.
