- Watched two movies as mentioned in the subject line.
- ----------------------------------------------------------------------
- The Vigil
- This movie was watched at PVR Cinemas, Forum Mall, Koramangala.
- This movie is boring to say the least.
- Movie deals with not how Jews dominate the scene in US but hate crime against Jews worldwide.
- It seems Jews are disproportionately targeted for their ethnicity (fact which may not be 100% true)
- Fact is racists can target anyone "who is different" or who is not like them.
- And even in the scare element the movie does not succeed as it is set in New York City which is a dense urban conglomeration.
- Fact which may be scary is not touched upon that much as to how the Demon managed to reach the heroes girlfriend during video call.
- Maybe the hero was just imagining things
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------
- The Marksman
- This movie was watched at PVR, Forum Mall.
- I must say that this movie is far better than The Vigil but then we should not compare movies at expense of one another.
- Each movie must have taken a lot of effort to be made.
- This movie deals with Mexican immigrants escaping drug lords.
- Also the person whom the Cartel has sent is a "soldier" but not an "ex-serviceman" like the hero.
- But he is a soldier of the cartel and recruited since young age he knows nothing else but still has a deep fascination for the military because he takes the medal of the hero when he attacks his farm house.
