Disclosure Day, Mehermunda, Mercy, Backrooms

Have watched few movies as mentioned below:

Disclosure Day

  • This was watched in big screen.
  • I feel this movie is meaningless.
  • After watching for decades regarding aliens, I do not feel they are real.
  • Else we would have seen them in news channels and in our lives.
  • They are nowhere to be seen.
  • People can grow old from 8 years to 50 years but no result.
  • It is futile.

Mehermunda

  • This Odia movie was watched on big screen.
  • It is based on a fictional weaver village where during Covid lockdown their sales get hit.
  • But they carry on their weaving activities and after struggles go online and make sales through Facebook and Instagram.
  • Worth watching.

Mercy

  • This movie was watched on online platform.
  • I liked the movie.
  • It shows how using AI may not solve crimes but system can be twisted and innocent can fall in trap even if he is part of the law.

Backrooms

  • This movie was watched on the big screen.
  • The concept is too good.
  • But they have made it mystery.
  • Means though semi Govt agencies are involved, they are mean researching the backrooms.
  • They have not told who has created those.

He-Man, Hai Jawani Toh, Peddi, Chand Mera Dil, Bandar

Watched few more movies over the past few days.

He-Man movie

  • Watched this He Man and the Masters of the Universe movie on the big screen.
  • I am of a generation where we have seen He Man cartoon series on Doordarshan when there used to be just one channel in India.
  • I also used to have small toys or figurines on He Man, Skeletor, Ram Man and the like when I was a kid.
  • I used to play with those a lot and thus He Man is special for me.
  • And I liked the movie.

Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai

  • This Varun Dhawan starrer movie was watched on the big screen.
  • I saw Varun Dhawan and what I felt that he copying yesteryears star Govinda.
  • I mean David Dhawan his father who is also the director of this movie must have given the task to Varun Dhawan to watch Govinda movies as "homework".
  • And hence we can say Varun Dhawan is true successor of Govinda's mannerisms and acting styles.
  • Coming back to the movie I liked the movie.
  • It shows life just does not end when you have a girlfriend, does not end when you have a wife, does not end when you have a kid, does not end when you have two wives and two kids.
  • In fact it becomes more and more complicated.

Peddi

  • This sports drama movie was watched on the big screen.
  • Ram Charan does great acting and this is a good clean movie.
  • It does not show Ram Charan doing any illegal work like shown in Pushpa.
  • Movie is shown like historical.
  • And though not based on true story it must be inspired from real life stories.

Chand Mera Dil

  • This movie was seen in the big screen.
  • Movie is set in Hyderabad which is a center for education as well as big companies.
  • It shows how a girlfriend boyfriend duo accidentally become pregnant and the girl decides to keep the baby and life is a struggle for them and then misunderstandings happen.
  • Then towards the end they come together keeping aside differences.

Bandar

  • This movie seen in the big screen.
  • Bobby Deol is a celebrity and movie shows how he gets into trouble after he leaves a girl after having a "brief affair".
  • The girl is not willing to "let go" and pursues case after him and Bobby gets in jail with "no bail".
  • It shows how risky can be to get with girl and risk is somewhat more for a celebrity.
  • Anurag Kashyap the director must be deeply involved in the film industry and knows all the intricacies.
  • That can also be why celebrities prefer "foreign locations" and places like Dubai or Bangkok where they can escape the laws of India or Maharashtra or any other state of India.
  • Even more extreme is places like Epstein island where they can carry out their lustful indulgencies.
  • I am not telling all actors would be doing that.

Hokum, Long Walk, Governor, Mantra Mugdha

Watched four movies as mentioned above.

Hokum

  • This movie was watched on the big screen.
  • I liked the movie.
  • It is a mix of horror and mystery.
  • The horror is real and not artificial.
  • Means in the story some aspects can be explained through science and some are "real horror"

The Long Walk

  • This movie was watched on Prime Video.
  • This is a story where 18-25 year old men or boys participate in "long walk" where only one survives and others die of exhaustion or are shot if they attack, stop or try to escape.
  • Older men and women and girls are not eligible.
  • Young men have to "take the brunt" so to speak.

Governor

  • This movie was watched on the big screen.
  • Starring Manoj Bajpai this movie shows a tumultuous phase of India's history where India had run out of foreign exchange reserves and did not have enough money to pay for the import bills.
  • The RBI Governor began a series of process to ensure that India had enough funds.
  • It shows PM Chandrasekhar reign but does not show PV Narsimha Rao reign.
  • The movie only shows glimpses of FM Dr Manmohan Singh and brief glimpse of Vajpayee.
  • Does not show Rajiv Gandhi though refers to his assassination.

Mantra Mugdha

  • This Odia movie was watched on big screen.
  • It is too good horror comedy movie.
  • It is similar to Akshay Kumar starrer "Bhoot Bangla" but I don't think either copied each other.
  • They made the movies independently.
  • Worth watching this movie.

Kara, Obsession, Terrifier 3

Watched two movies as mentioned above.

Kara

  • Watched this Dhanush starrer movie on Netflix.
  • I liked the movie.
  • Worth watching.

Obsession

  • This movie was watched on big screen.
  • I liked the movie.
  • It is too good horror movie.
  • It deals with Gen Z generation.
  • Thus it is like a new generation horror movie.
Terrifier 3

  • Though I had seen this movie I saw it again on Prime Video.
  • Too good horror movie.
  • This time I recognize the characters better.
  • Every movie can be like this.
  • We watch a movie and watch it again.
  • Some movies feel better.
  • We can see things and draw conclusions which we could not draw earlier.
  • There was also famous dialogue in 12 Monkeys movie where the main character portrayed by Bruce Willis says the same thing "every time you watch a movie again you feel different because you are different".
