Cauvery Problem Decoded

I will say one should not look towards either BJP or Modi to solve the Cauvery problem.
If anything, they would be the instigators of this Cauvery problem.
Now, tell me does one who create a problem be ever able to solve it?
If anything it is better to lie on the back watching the ceiling or be standing looking towards a wall than look towards this BJP or Modi hoping to solve it.
I will outline few points once more:
  • There was demolition drive going on in Bengaluru prior to Ganesh festival. Now much of the demolitions happened where builders have encroached upon Govt lands, lakes and Storm water drains.
  • It is very likely that these happened during the BJP Rule in Karnataka 2008 to 2013.
  • These irregularities are now coming to light and the present Govt. of Congress is taking steps to rectify it.
  • Demolition drive was to resume after Sep 13 (when major festivals of Eid, ganesh and Onam) conclude.
  • Everybody knew the dates and then out of the blue Cauvery verdict is passed and the BJP becomes hyperactive, social unrest happens and issues get diverted and so on.
  • This BJP I have always said wants to create diversion, distraction and it helps them loot the country in the process.
  • They want to loot the mineral resources of their state where they grab power as well.
  • Their only aim is loot, loot loot.
  • Now the think tanks at BJP and Riot Sevak Sangh (RSS) would be in joyous mood when Karnataka burns due to Cauvery. Their aim was precisely that. Even they may use their own cadres to create riot and disturbance.
  • If you go to these people for work they will say go and create disturbance and that will not bear well for the ruling party at the state which is Congress.
  • Anyway issue is diverted and now the issue of further demolitions is pushed to the backburner.
  • Also the fire is lit, just like Olympics torch is lit during the Olympics ceremony, these riots and disturbance which happened will indicate that the poll bugle has been sounded for 2018 elections and BJP is a "riot induced" party that it is will try to grab power.
  • In the meantime it can always say that we did not do anything, the Supreme Court did and so on.
  • Also, we cannot say that it can be scientifically measured what the water requirement is in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
  • Since the river flows into a river basin in Tamil Nadu, their water requirements would be unlimited. Hell, before 130 or so years there was no dam on the river and all the water flowed to Tamil Nadu and to the sea.
  • We cannot say that all the water should go to Tamil nadu on this logic.
  • The growth of Bangalore implies that water is required for Bangalore City.
  • I am sure that Chennai city does not need the water from Cauvery it is only needed for agriculture in TN mainly and then it becomes a debate between people and crops. Who needs it more?

Cauvery Issue Problem

I feel that presently what is happening in this Cauvery River Water issue is a "State Sponsored problem" and that State is not a State but it is the Center.
Yes I clearly feel that the present BJP Govt at Center led by PM Modi is behind this.
This BJP is actually part of a group of organizations of which the major part is the Riot Sevak Sangh i.e. the RSS.
This RSS comprises of Goons and Thugs and they thrive on such kind of incidents. In their craze for power over the house they are willing to "burn half the house down".
They are power hungry people willing to make group of people fight one against the other and then they come in for "firefighting" and occupy the place left over after the "riots" which is in fact sponsored by them.
Important points are as below:
  • How come this Cauvery verdict is delivered at a time when the Eid festival is being held or going to be held and Muslims have found a safe place in Congress ruled Karnataka
  • The same safety is not available in BJP ruled states and that makes the RSS Goons burn.
  • They are always against Muslims and they are willing to target a few innocent and will classify them as "collateral damage" in their quest for power.
  • They (BJP and RSS) want to disrupt Eid festival of Muslims and Cauvery is just a side issue for them. Use Cauvery to cause problem in Muslim Society.
  • I know the Cauvery dispute has its origins in British ruled India when Mysore state built a dam over river Cauvery. But we are glad that a dam was built as most of the river which earlier used to flow to the ocean through Tamil Nadu could now be harnessed for erstwhile Mysore state now Karnataka.
  • Tamil Nadu also built dams in its territory and now the things as they stand that though Tamil Nadu dams have plenty of water still they want more water for themselves. And Supreme Court has passed order for that.
  • Now we know that Tamil Nadu election was held and Jayalalitha won who is a very good friend and all of Modi.
  • Karnataka has to face election in 2018 and BJP by stroking unrest in Karnataka feels that it has got nothing to lose in the process. Already the people of India are rejecting the divisive and hateful policies of BJP and they are hard core anti-Muslim as well. Bihar, Kerala, West bengal elections and Delhi elections have proved that people of India have rejected Modi and BJP
  • Already BJP got indication that they would be losing UP and further Karnataka and so they are resorting to this means.
  • Create riots and then come in for "firefighting" and then things never go back to the way they were. Then occupy the "blank space left behind". That has been the RSS-BJP's policy and there is no statesman like person like Advani or Vajpayee now as their head. It is the very violent anti-Muslim Modi who never gave even a single Tweet for Kashmir or Muslims in history.
  • With Modi at helm and all Central agencies in their grasp, the state Govt is in a very weak position.
  • The State is very weak in front of Center and Jayalalitha is also hand in glove or at least looks the other way while trouble brews with the people of the state.
  • For the Kannadigas it is a very emotional thing as not only for agriculture but also for drinking water needs of Bengaluru they rely on Cauvery.
  • For the Center it does not matter. They will be happy if Bangalore suffers they don't care simply. If industries move out they don't care. If people move out they don't care. It is like a punishment they are dishing out to the Karnataka people for voting Congress to power and they are saying to vote for BJP in next elections and all problems would disappear.
  • We also do not know who carried out the attack on New Woodlands hotel in Chennai or several attacks in Bengaluru. This would be a step to create disturbance. That is how RSS works.
  • People from both sides should realise that the true enemy is RSS and BJP and Modi.

BJP Lies and Deceit

This post is for the most thievery party of BJP and RSS combine.
They have made the project of "looting the nation" into an institution.
They will claim that there is no corruption in the Govt. But what is the use of no corruption when they have "institutionalized it" and made the phenomena looting the public out in the open.
  • They have targeted the Railways to loot the public.
  • They have made Cancellation charges so high that without even traveling the people are losing a lot.
  • The have introduced Surge pricing which is open looting of the public.
  • They have made people migrate to Airlines and they make the Airlines loot the public as well.
  • They want to get rid of the vestiges of Socialism like State ownership and State owned Airlines like Air India. They want to ultimately privatise Railways as well. But since it will take more than 5 years which their madate now they have resorted to other means.
  • Increase of fares has been made proportionate.
  • Like earlier if we travel 2000 kms on railways it used to be not 4 times of if we travel 500 kms. But now the fares increase tremendously to make four times. As the distance increases so does the fare.
  • They have made the difference between the Sleeper and 3rd Ac and 3rd AC and 2nd AC too much.
  • Like earlier there would not be much difference between 3rd AC and 2nd AC but now it is almost double.
  • Who are there people who are occupying the posts in the Govt? They are not Gods. They must realise that they are also people and people should not suffer.
  • Full ticket has been made for Children and it would not be far when there would be no concession for Senior Citizen as well.
  • Now they say that surge pricing is there for only Duranto, Rajdhani and Shatabdi but if these thief BJP Govt. remains for a little more time they will introduce it for all trains.
  • They have already introduced "Premium Tatkal" in many trains if "tatkal" was not enough. Tell me, is Tatkal not enough? Already people are paying extra for Tatkal. Why they need to pay for "Premium Tatkal". The same ticket which is 700 in General booking will cost 1200 for Tatkal why does it need to become 3000 for Premium Tatkal? Is 1200 not enough?
  • And in my last travel from Bhubaneswar to Asansol I noticed several berths were empty. Now don't tell me that those were Premium Tatkal seats which were not allotted to anyone due to lack of patrons. The railway Minister is smart enough to know that if public becomes aware that Premium tatkal seats are given at ordinary price or even tatkal price when not occupied no public will ever buy Premium Tatkal tickets. So he lets those be vacant. What justice is this? This is a waste of national resources when people want to travel they are making them run with some empty berths.
  • This craze of looting the public should stop immediately.
  • And it is a myth that railways subsidise the public travel. Their method of costing is wrong. Someone who travels 12 kms by local train is not the same as someone who travels 1900 kms by 3rd AC. But Railways count them as one and the same and say that they subsidise the travel; which is a false and a lie.
  • The sad thing is that these steps taken by BJP and RSS is irreversible because even if a new some other Govt comes they will not take step to reverse it. Why will they reverse it? They have found an easy way to loot the people and so they will continue it.
  • And that is another tragedy because this BJP came to power after accusing the Congress of corruption (along with Baba Ramdev, Anna hazare and the like) and all but now they have institutionalized it. Even if another Govt. comes in 2019 they can become relaxed that this "open thief" Govt was there before them.
  • The Congress gave freedom of protest and expression so that BJP could come to power by twisting reality. BJP came to power and banned NGO's and now people lost the freedom to protest. But the BJP gives "freedom to loot" the public officially and openly so even the next whichever Govt comes can continue to reap the benefits of looting the public. They may say no corruption because corruption is official and openly done now.
  • That is why they also want State and Central elections to be held simultaneously so that they can loot for 5 years without any fear as they fear losing elections due the public wrath every now and then.
These are dark days for the country and there is no opposition. The opposition is either silent or indifferent.

Batman vs Superman, Peanuts the Movie

Watched two movies as mentioned in the subject line. Both the movies were watched on Tata Sky Showcase HD Channel. Actually I did not pay for those.
I had subscrived for HBO Hits and HBO Defined Channels by paying approx 1000 per year. Subsequently one channel of HBO Defined was dropped by the operator and charges was 900 per year. At that time no money was refunded and adjustment was done in account. But subsequently HBO Hits HD became HBO HD and it became a "free channel" means part of the English package.
So now they refunded close to 450 rupees.
So I have ordered two movies of 120 each for two days and watched those.
Batman vs Superman
This movie is excellent. Ben Affleck and Henry Cavell did a very good potraya.
It shows how in an earlier fight when half of the city was left in ruins, Superman was not able to save all and sundry and that has given a deep resentment to Batman.
But towards the end Batman realises that Superman adopted mother has the same name as his own mother whom he was unable to save during a robbery as he was 7-8 years old.
It is shown in the movie that both Gotham City and Metropolis are side by side cities.
Villian is also good potrayal by that Eisenberg guy. I will say worth watching.
Peanuts the Movie
Well they made a comic strip into a movie what can be better than that.
This movie is also excellent and they show the Snoopy character's imaginary story as well as how he is a World War 1 pilot. It is definitely worth watching.

Travel to North India continued

It is day 6 and after checking into Bharat Seva Ashram we proceeded towards "Har-ki-pauri". It is that area of Haridwar where there the "ghats" or the "river access platforms". We had some snacks and just saw the locales which was tremendous and then before sunset grabbed seats for ourselves so that we could see the "Ganga aarti". This is basically a ritual where the river Ganga is paid obeisance with systematic movement of fire lanterns. This ritual has been done for hundreds of year if not thousands without fail. Like Ganga maa (or mother) is being paid homage when it emerges from the deep underbelly of the earth and proceeds towards the people. After wonderful evening there we returned back to Ashram where we had the dinner.
DAY 7- August 18, 2016
After breakfast at Ashram we proceeded to visit the famous temples of Haridwar namely Manasa Devi temple and Chandi devi temple. Both the temples are accessible through the use of ropeways. The view of the surrounding areas from the ropeways is great and not to be missed. There is also a shuttle service from Manasa devi temple to Chandi devi temple. Then we returned to Ashram and then evening was kept for shopping. After that we had dinner and then left the Ashram as our train to Amritsar was there.
DAY 8- August 19, 2016
We reached Amritsar and then we checked into nearby one hotel. At that hotel itself we booked a cab to take us around town and Wagah border. First he took us to a temple and then to the Golden temple. The Golden temple is a center not to be missed. I will appeal to all the people around the world regardless of your religion please at least once in your life you should go and visit the Golden temple. There we had free food what they call as "langar" where you have wonderful tasty food. After Golden temple we went to Jalianwala bagh which is not that big to be frank and is just beside the Golden temple. Then we did some shopping and then proceeded to Wagah border.
At Wagah border before 1 km they do not allow anyone and you have go by foot. I had been to Jaisalmer and could not go near the border where I wanted to seen the Pakistan flag fluttering but I could not because the tour operator said that "Military pass is required". But here I went close to the border and saw the Pakistan flag fluttering and what a sight it was. I will say every Indian should visit the Wagah border at least once in their lives. I will not say that to foreigners because they can visit Pakistan directly. I am sure many things in Pakistan would be better than India. Also foreigners should have pass yes here also if you have pass issued by military you can go real close to the border and see the parade like beating retreat parade real close. At general stands there is just too much crowd and foreigners will not like it.
Also too much of sound is being made by playing patriotic sound which makes it impossible to hear the sounds playing on the other side as well as the actual parade sounds. We Indians have grown up listening to Indian patriotic songs. Does it harm anyone if we get to listen songs from the Pakistani side? They should make people listen from the other side as well, that is what I feel.
But it is amazing that since 1965 when BSF was formed this parade is being done everyday without fail and people from both sides are there face to face and there has been no incident. It is all friendly and peaceful and that is how it should be. Neighbors should be like that. And I feel we are like that perhaps excluding Kashmir where there is high handedness by India.
After the parade we returned back to the hotel where we checked out and packed the dinner near the station to have it in the train to Delhi.
DAY 9- August 20, 2016
This day we reached Nizamuddin station where we had booked Railway retiring room. After relaxing for a bit we left for Akshardham Mandir (temple) and there we saw the sound and light show which is definitely worth watching. There is also a movie shown there. Basically what they show is the life and the times of Bhagwaan Swaminarayan who was the founder of the organisation which made the Akshardham mandir. It is not like any other temple and I believe people of all faiths and nationalities can visit. All should visit. Their main teaching is to respect all living things and be vegeterian and lead simple lives and help others and so on. After Akshardham temple we returned back to Nizamuddin station and left the room and went with our luggage to New Delhi station where at 10:15 PM our train to Bhubaneswar was there which was Purushottam express.
DAY 10- August 21, 2016
Journey from Delhi to Bhubaneswar is 1900 kms approximately and it takes 2 nights in a train like Purushottam express and one full day. This day was spent in train.
DAY 11- August 22, 2016
Early morning at 4:30 am we were back in Bhubaneswar.
Thus that ended the tour of North India.
Places covered Burnpur, Ayodhya, Faizabad, Rishikesh, Mussorie, Dehradun, Haridwar, Amritsar and finally Delhi. Total of 10 nights of which 7 nights was spent in train and 2 nights at Rishikesh and 1 night at Haridwar.

Travel to North India

Last month I had the good opportunity to travel to North India and I will try to outline it as below. It was a ten day trip when my journey began on August 12 and it ended on August 22.
DAY 1- August 12, 2016
On this day I boarded the train from Bhubaneswar towards Asansol where my brother in law stays.
DAY 2- August 13, 2016
On this day I reached Burnpur and after freshening up at my Brother in laws place proceeded in the afternoon towards Ayodhya.
DAY 3- August 14, 2016
On this day we reached Ayodhya and then after freshening up at Gujarati dharamsala proceeded towards Ram Janmabhoomi. There was tremendous crowd so we only got an outside view and then went to nearby Faizabad Jn station for the onward train towards Haridwar.
DAY 4- August 15, 2016
On this day early morning we reached Haridwar and immediately got on another train towards Rishikesh which was only 25 kms away. The view from the train is great as it goes through protected forests and so on. We had booked a vehicle plus we had room booked at Shivanand Ashram at Rishikesh. There was the "Centenary celebration" at Shivanand Ashram for their Guruji founder. It still goes on till October with various functions planned. After freshening up at ashram at Rishikesh on the same vehicle we had reserved we proceeded towards Dehradun Mussorie Kempty Falls. We were back by evening and night halt was at Rishikesh.
DAY 5- August 16, 2016
This day we got up relaxed and then had lunch at Ashram and then in the afternoon we went to Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula. Ram Jhula was just beside the Ashram and it was a tremendous sight. In monsoon there was plenty of water in Ganga river. On the opposite side of Ram Jhula there was a Chotiwala Restaurant where a person having a "big ponytail" sits. Dinner was near the Ashram.
DAY 6- August 17, 2016
This day was reserved for a Puja which we did at 6 AM in the Ashram. People are allowed to take part in the Puja after payment of the fees beforehand. After that it was getting ready and another vehicle was booked which was to take us to Haridwar (we were to leave the Ashram) since our onward journey was from Haridwar. The vehicle took us to Gayatri Agency branch which we did not go inside and then to Bharat Mata Mandir when it began to rain heavily. So we decided to proceed from there to Patanjali Campus of Baba Ramdev. We went to Campus 1 and there we had lunch. It was actually housing a huge hospital. Later on we came to know that there was Campus 2 and more but we never went there because the cab driver did not take us there. I will say the train journey (Haridwar to Rishikesh) gave us very good scenery but I cant say the same about road journey. It is like any other highway surrounded by mountains and there is also a national park on the way. Also earlier I felt that Patanjali would be surrounded by mountains but it doesnt look like it. It could very well be a suburb of Delhi feels like it. From Patanjali campus we went and got ourselves a room at "Bharat Seva Ashram" which is located very close to Haridwar railway station.
I will continue in next...

Modern Times

Watched this Charlie Chaplin movie on Movies Now Channel.
Decades back my father had brought video cassatte of this movie along with Laurel and Hardy movie and I have watched this movie several times using VCR in my childhood.
Watching it on TV made my memories fresh.
I mean isnt this movie wonderful.
Every frame of the movie is so great every scene is so great.
This should be the best movie ever and all the citizens of the world should see it.
It shows the view of the world in 1936. Let us see at that time the world had just emerged from the Great depression. Anti communism feeling was at its peak in the world and that gave rise to Nazism.
I mean there are so many points in the movie.
  • How man (and woman) spirit to improve their existence and survive against forces which try to tie them up always exist.
  • How people get exploited for capitalism is shown in the movie
  • Charlie Chaplin was a God compared to film makers today. He was not racist he was practical. In one scene he dreams of having steak meat and a cow comes along and he draws milk from the cow and has it along with the meat. I kinda got reminded of Kosher laws where I believe milk and meat should not be combined while eating. Well I am not aware of the same. Just gave it a passing thought.
  • Charlie Chaplin knew of the problems of the world. And he painted it in the movie. The problems faced by westerners are still there today. And in any urban industrial centers the problems would be the same be it in whichever country.
  • After seeing the movie we know that a world without Second World War would have been great. The Second World War was the war which changed the destiny of the world. It led to the emergence of USSR and US and decline of Great Britain and rise of the "free countries" in Asia and Africa.
  • Second World War proved devastating for the world. Talent like Charlie Chaplin got supressed at the time of the "Red Scare" where people were suspected to be Communist agents.
  • The Cold War did more harm than good for the World I feel.
  • By watching a movie like Modern Times we get a feeling of where our world could have headed if there was no Second World War.
