OK Jaanu, Wonder Woman

Watched two movies as mentioned in the subject line.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
OK Jaanu
Watched this movie on Amazon prime Video. Movie is okay for a one time watch.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wonder Woman
This movie was watched Maheshwari 4K theatre at Bannerghatta Road.
I liked the movie.
  • This movie is an anti war movie. As to how war needs to be prevented at all costs. That is in-spite of the fact that Wonder Woman deals with an Amazon tribe of Ancient Greece.
  • It is welcome to see that Wonder Woman belongs to earth. I mean we have just too many Superheroes who have extra terrestrial origins. Wonder Woman is welcome change.
  • Towards the end it is shown that she gets in touch with Bruce Wayne aka Batman. So we can definitely see more of Wonder Woman in the future.
  • The setting is First World War and the villain happens to be with the British side who is Aries from Ancient Greece.
Movie can definitely watched once without any problem. It deserves all the success it is getting and that is my opinion.

Baywatch, Taylor and Burton

Watched two movies as mentioned in the subject line.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Baywatch
This movie was watched at Lakshmi Theatre Tavarakere on the big screen. Movie is okay for a one time watch.
I will say there are two ways to look at the movie, one is the American view and second is the Indian view.
In American view the movie is great and all actors have done a great role and Priyanka Chopra is a great villian and gets blown into pieces in the end. She is different than traditional villians who re males usually and who are mostly Mexican or other Europeans not allied with Americans
Kudos to Dwayne Johnson who takes the villian out. He is a true American hero. Even Zac Efron has done a great role. Also a Chinese business man is kept hostage by villian and gets rescued by the Baywatch team. Hence the movie seems to imply that Chinese are better than Indians. That is my opinion.
In Indian view it is bad. People will pay or rather not pay money to go to a movie and see modern day Mother India blown to bits. Yes she gets eliminated and her hand is the only part which remains intact at least that is what they have shown.
Priyanka Chopra or modern day Mother India is shown as a drug dealer and not only that she has wants to acquire all the properties in the Bay area and Indians work like that as well. They consider and have proven Bay of Bengal bordering India as their own 😉
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Taylor and Burton
This movie was watched on Tata Sky Movie on Demand video which has got downloaded to pen drive automatically.
Movie is okay for a one time watch.
The fact is that if one makes a historical movie one can chose to ignore what really happened and make it as they wish. But it is fact that entire gamut of what had or has happened cannot be captured in a movie made several years or decades later. One has bound to become selective.

Sports Strategy with Pakistan

Sports Strategy with Pakistan
  • I will say that the sports strategy being followed with Pakistan by India is highly flawed and dangerous.
  • India or at least a handful of people who call the shots in India do not want sports with Pakistan or Pakistani players.
  • They are targeting the "peaceniks" (or people who want peace) on both sides of the border.
  • I would like to say This strategy is very dangerous and can lead to war.
  • We know that Modi Govt is a failure at all levels.
  • They are following "divide and rule" policy throughout the length and breadth of the country.
  • Their central philosophy is "create hatred towards Pakistan" and keep it alive.
  • Their another strategy is to take terror using Indian Army to the Kashmiri people.
  • They are targeting Muslims through beef ban and GauRakshak squad and anti-Romeo squads.
  • Now what is happening is that Muslims, Kashmiris and Pakistanis are getting pushed to a corner.
  • Now we know when someone is pushed to a corner his only escape is to strike back.
  • Same is true of a wild animal, dog or human.
  • Now India and the policymakers who dictate those want Pakistan or Muslim or someone to strike back.
  • And when they strike back the response of India will be even more fierce.
  • We know that prevention is better than cure.
  • Prevention in this context is "resuming sports" with Pakistan.
  • Because if sports activities is not resumed soon, there will be 'strike back' by disgruntled people on Indian sports person.
  • We know what happened in 1972 Olympics Munich where Israeli players were targeted and Israel then waged a war which resulted in the deaths of hundreds and thousands.
  • What happened in Munich was sad but the response from Israel was even more furious.
  • I feel India through its craze of wanting to "isolate Pakistan" diplomatically, economically and through sports, wants some people to commit acts of terror by pushing them into a corner.
  • Who are these people who will be the terrorists?
  • These terrorists can be the so called Islamic State who ate nothing but an artificial entity created by Israel, Britain and US to create acts of terror in Muslim dominated countries and being discredit to Muslim religion.
  • They can be like "Pirates" who carry out "false flag" operations. Example if Britain wants to attack Spain and does not want to use its own ships then it pays pirates to use French flag and attack Spain. So the blame falls on France. This is only an example.
  • The would be terrorists may not have any linkage to Kashmir struggle or Pakistan or Indian Muslims.
  • I feel that this kind of attack may happen not in India but in a neutral venue like England which is due to hold the Champions Trophy.
  • Because if it happens in India, the world will say that Indian fringe elements did it. And it was Indian security and strategic failure to prevent such an attack
  • But if it happens in a neutral venue then the blame will directly fall on Pakistan.
  • If such an attack does not happen soon, very likely that India and Israel will stage a "false flag" attack sou-moto and blame it on the so called Islamic State and Pakistan backed it.
  • And then they will try to isolate Pakistan even more.
  • Balochistan and PoK strategy of divide and rule of Modi govt is failing.
  • Modi Govt has been unable to isolate Pakistan either diplomatically or economically. CPEC is an example.
  • If anything Pakistan is getting stronger.
  • But an attack on sportsperson in a neutral ground or country will trip the balance and will isolate Pakistan completely.
  • We need to "prevent it from happening". And only way to do it is for Pakistan and India to work together and resume sports activities between themselves.
  • Else sports will not remain as a peace maker in the history of humanity but will be the cause for 1000's of years of conflict which the world does not want to see or experience.

30 Minutes, Blue Mountains, Sachin a Billion Dreams, Half Girlfriend, The Perfect Girl

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sachin a Billion Dreams
This movie was watched at Rockline Mall Carnival Cinemas after taking a moviepass which allows me to watch unlimited movies www.moviecardindia.com
This movie is like a documentary and not a movie in strict sense. One thing I can say that even if one does not know anything about cricket still this movie will be appreciated by them.
Definitely okay for a one time watch.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Half Girlfriend
This movie was watched at PVR Phoenix Market City for second time. Actually I accompanied my family members who had not seen the movie.

The Magic Snowflake, Hindi Medium, Half Girlfriend

Watched three movies as mentioned in the subject line.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Magic Snowflake
This movie was watched on Tata Sky Video on Demand where movies and serials get downloaded on the pen drive if we keep the box on in standby mode overnight.
It is animation movie. I will say the animation is not of very good quality (we have seen better) but still it is a good movie for a one time watch.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hindi Medium
This movie was watched at Rockine Mall Carnival Cinemas at Jalahalli after taking an unlimited moviepass at www.moviecardindia.com.
It is a good movie for a one time watch.
This movie makes us question whether we want to see ourselves chasing after English medium schools for our kids or can we be satisfied with Govt. run schools provided they are managed efficiently. This essentially also a poor vs rich story whether poor people are more "human" and so on. It leads us to question our values.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Half Girlfriend
This movie was watched at Rockine Mall Carnival Cinemas at Jalahalli after taking an unlimited moviepass at www.moviecardindia.com.
This movie is too good and I liked it. I will have to mention it through bullet points.
  • Arjun Kapoor has matured and looks totally "grown up" in the movie. I mean I have seen earlier movies of Arjun Kapoor like 'Gunday', 'Ki and Ka', '2 States' etc but in this movie he looks more 'healthy' and I have seen his earlier photos where he used to be 'very fat' and then slimmed down. In this movie he looks healthy. Healthy does not mean fat and likewise fat does not mean healthy. He looks like a body builder or wrestler to say the least. He can portray the villain or hero and can be an action star as well. I guess he should not try to be like Salman Khan or his uncle Anil Kapoor who is traditionally thin. He also looks and resembles his father Boney Kapoor the features are quite visible. Full marks to Arjun Kapoor. He also portrays a "Prince" or 'Rajkumar' in the movie and his personality suits just fine.
  • This movie is like a fairy tale and basically takes three scenarios : one is in Delhi, second is in Bihar and the third is in New York and the Christmas segment in New York is quite remarkable and that is where it resembles a modern day fairy tale. Badrinath ki Dulhaniya took the story to Singapore but this movie took it to the city of cities New York.
  • Shradha Kapoor looks very hot and sexy in the movie and can become any man's fantasy. Anyone can be attracted to her and for girls like her people in schools and colleges (we must have seen such competition in our lifetimes) can get into competition like we see in animal world where males wrestle and compete to get the females attention and mating rituals. Full marks to Shradha Kapoor as well.
  • I will say this is an Indian movie in the sense it can be dubbed in any Indian language and it will fit perfectly fine. I mean Delhi and New York can be common but Bihar can be replaced with any other Indian state.
  • The friend of Arjun Kapoor who goes on to New York and friends of friends have also done a great role.
  • The funny segment is the segment where Bill Gates image is morphed into another look alike. But I guess the effort is commendable.
  • Also the views from atop the India Gate is wonderful and makes you fall in love with the world over and over again.
  • This movie is also like "Hindi medium" movie in the sense that Arjun Kapoor (and his family) is well versed in Hindi and Shradha Kapoor (and her family) is well versed in English. Though Arjun Kapoor is a prince the rich-poor divide is not there but still the Hindi-English divide is there.

Suicide Squad, King Arthur : Legend of the Sword

Watched two movies as mentioned in the subject line.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Suicide Squad
This movie was watched on Amazon prime Video. I liked the movie. According to me it deserves full marks of 5/5.
All people have done very good roles and definitely deserves a sequel.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
King Arthur : Legend of the Sword
This movie was at Innovative Multiplex at Maratahalli. Definite must watch. Deserves 5/5 rating.
Definitely better than many recent movies I have seen.
The plot is similar to Bahubali as to how the Chacha or Uncle grabs power and the kid grows up to reclaim the throne. Fully enjoyable. It was in 3D as well.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
