Fury, Full Metal Jacket

Joined Netflix yesterday and have watched two movies as mentioned above.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Fury (2014)
  • What a movie. As the name suggests it shows the "Fury", fury of man against man.
  • Or the fury against Nazi Germany
  • It is worth watching if one has the stomach for it.
  • I must say that I liked the movie and it is highly recommended
------------------------------------------------------------------
Full Metal Jacket (1987)
  • This is also an excellent movie.
  • I feel this movie can divide the people of the world into two halves.
  • Those who have seen Full Metal Jacket and those who have not seen Full Metal Jacket
  • Stanley Kubrick is excellent filmmaker
  • I just realised he also made Eyes Wide Shut.
  • This movie is worth working.
  • Thank God that such movies exist.
  • It captures human race in its moments.
  • Moments like the Vietnam War.
  • Else the events would get lost in history.
  • Basically underlying message in Fury and Full Metal Jacket is the futility of war.
  • But Fury makes the war heroes out of victims and Full Metal Jacket shows the victims as victims and not heroes.
  • Even if the belligerents belong to the opposing party they are still heroes.
  • I mean even the winners are victims because of the fact of PTSD (post traumatic Stress Disorder) which is the outcome of horrifying incidents people faced in war.

Passengers

Passengers
  • Watched the above movie on Amazon Prime Video.
  • I liked the movie.
  • Definite good way to pass time.
  • But I felt that there is big flaw in the movie and that is that both the players ( hero and heroine) could have survived.
  • I have made the below table:
  • Particulars Years Hero Heroine
Age When they Came out of Pod
    30 25
When they saved the ship 2 32 27
    Taking turns 3 years at a time 3 35 27
    Taking turns 3 years at a time 3 35 30
    Taking turns 3 years at a time 3 38 30
    Taking turns 3 years at a time 3 38 33
    Taking turns 3 years at a time 3 41 33
    Taking turns 3 years at a time 3 41 36
    Taking turns 3 years at a time 3 44 36
    Taking turns 3 years at a time 3 44 39
    Taking turns 3 years at a time 3 47 39
    Taking turns 3 years at a time 3 47 42
    Taking turns 3 years at a time 3 50 42
    Taking turns 3 years at a time 3 50 45
    Taking turns 3 years at a time 3 53 45
    Taking turns 3 years at a time 3 53 48
    Taking turns 3 years at a time 3 56 48
    Taking turns 3 years at a time 3 56 51
    Taking turns 3 years at a time 3 59 51
    Taking turns 3 years at a time 3 59 54
    Taking turns 3 years at a time 3 62 54
    Taking turns 3 years at a time 3 62 57
    Taking turns 3 years at a time 3 65 57
    Taking turns 3 years at a time 3 65 60
    Taking turns 3 years at a time 3 68 60
    Taking turns 3 years at a time 3 68 63
    Taking turns 3 years at a time 3 71 63
    Taking turns 3 years at a time 3 71 66
    Taking turns 3 years at a time 3 74 66
    Taking turns 3 years at a time 3 74 69
    Final 2 years 2 76 69
    Arriving at planet destination 88

  • As is visible from the above table, when they arrive at destination planet 88 years later, the hero would be 76 and heroine would be 69 and surviving.
  • The trick was to use the pod and taking turns three years at a time.
  •  Since there was only one pod, only one would be inside and preserve his/her life by going to sleep.
  • Then the other.
  • Like this taking turns they would have survived.

Love Sonia, The Predator, Mitron

Watched three more movies even more recently
-------------------------------------------------------------
Love Sonia
This movie was watched at Inox, Inorbit Mall, Malad (West)
I liked the movie.
The movie deals with human trafficking.
What shown in the movie may not exactly happen the way it is shown but happens nevertheless.
I will like to say that any person entering the employment system is like the profession shown in the movie to some extent or the other.
Someone will dominate them and want to get the work done and use them and so on.
-------------------------------------------------------------
The Predator
This movie was watched at Cinepolis, Viviana Mall, Thane.
I liked the movie.
Toned down version of the first Predator.
The first Predator was a classic.
These movies are "spin offs" and want to lead the story to "somewhere new".
The "super suit" shown in the end of the movie is just great.
Maybe more to come ahead in the sequel.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Mitron
This movie was watched at PVR, Phoenix Mall, Kurla (West)
I liked the movie but I felt they wasted two good songs.
Two very good songs are there in the movie and those are wasted in the end credits.
I feel teh actor, director and producer should have squeezed the songs inside the movie.
Preferable one song before interval and one song afterwards.
Indian people are such taht they would have gone to see the songs only and business would have been better even if to certain extent, better is still better.
-------------------------------------------------------------

Satyameva Jayate, Gold, Vishwaroop 2, Nishijapon

Watched the above four movies recently
----------------------------------------------------------------
Satyameva Jayate
This movie was watched at Maharaja Talkies.
Okay movie to be watched once.
Amazing how a villian is made as hero in the movie.
That is the magic of cinema.
We can say that even in a movie like Rambo the hero inspite of being a victim is actually a villian but audience never feel so.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Gold
This movie was watched at Keshari talkies.
Ok movie to be watched once.
I don't know what is missing in the movie but feels something is lacking.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Vishwaroop 2
This movie was watched at Stutee Cinema.
This is simply a waste of a movie.
Half of this movie is dedicated showing clips from Vishwaroopam part 1.
Maybe Kamal Haasan thinks there is nothing else to show in the second part.
Part 1 is such a "masterpiece" that it is enough as a message.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Nishijapon
This Bengali award winning 2005 movie was watched on Lok Sabha TV of DD.
Movie is okay to be watched once no doubt about it.

Mulk

Watched "Mulk" movie at Maharaja Talkies
  • I liked the movie.
  • The essence of the movie is that those who divide the people into "us vs them" need to be shunned completely.
  • The are doing irreparable damage to Indian society.
  • They have no place in India.
  • The have to be expelled from India.
  • There is no difference between violent terrorist who acts alone and group of people who indulge in violence and aim to create fear in another group.

Mama Mia : Here We go Again, Karwaan, Fanney Khan, Dhadak

Watched four movies as mentioned in the subject line.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Mama Mia : Here We go Again
This movie was watched at Inox Bhavani Mall
  • Definitely this movie is worth watching
  • Full of emotions.
  • How a lady pursued a dream to begin a life at remote corner at the edge of the Western Civilisation
  • Lily James(I swear I thought it was Brie Larsson then looked it up) for the role is too good.
  • The dream was carried forwarded by her daughter.
  • Though it is a sequel it can verily be a standalone movie as well.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Karwaan
This movie was watched at Inox Bhavani Mall
  • This movie is full of emotions.
  • Basically there are four groups of generations of people shown in the movie.
  • One is old and very old like the one going to Gangotri trip (60-70).
  • Second is the category of Irfan Khan (40-50)
  • Third is the category of Dulqueer Salman(25-35)
  • and fourth is the student heroine category (15-22).
  • If you cannot understand you have to watch the movie.
  • Thoroughly enjoyable, this movie can be set in any part of the country.
  • The appeal would be universal.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Fanney Khan
This movie was watched at Maharaja Talkies.
  • I don't know about others but I liked the movie.
  • This movie shows how emotional parents are for their kids and they will go any lengths to make their kids successful
  • The way the movie turned out can only happen in a movie.
  • Anil Kapoor was lucky that there was a guy like Rajkumar and Aishwarya happened to fall in love with the guy else his plans would have tumbled.
  • Also the fact that his daughter was super talented cannot be ignored. It was the daughter who made Anil Kapoor successful in the end.
  • If during the live performance the performance would have failed then the story would have turned out to be quite different.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Dhadak
This movie was watched at Ekamra Talkies
  • I had read the story before watching the movie and I know that in original Dhadak the son survives while the hero heroine are killed.
  • In this movie the heroine survives while hero and son are killed.
  • And I felt this is flawed ending.
  • Original ending was better.
  • The child should have lived.
  • They are demonising people in this movie.
  • I feel people are not that bad that they will kill children for honour.
  • That is not just being Indian.
  • And honour first task is to get rid of the "kalank" or bad spot and the heroine happens to be the prime one.
  • Heroine fault is Heroine has "betrayed" her own clan.
  • Hero fault is The hero had the guts to take "one of their own".
  • The child has no fault of his own.
  • And no matter how "demonous" the villain he or they will never hurt an innocent life.
  • And that is the "flawed ending".
  • Also Jhanvi Kapoor could have scored "brownie points" if she would had died like audience sympathy she could have gained.
  • Maybe since Jhanvi is a star daughter it was though that her life was too precious to be expended.
--------------------------------------------------------------

Sicario: Day of the Salcedo, Sanju, Ant Man and The Wasp, Mission Impossible : Fallout

Watched four movies as mentioned in the subject line.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Sicario: Day of the Salcedo
This movie was watched at Cinepolis Binnypet Mall.
  • I liked the movie. Definitely worth watching.
  • This movie shows the power of the United States vs the poverty of Mexico.
  • This is like a Republican funded propaganda movie.
  • It shows that the United States can strike at will anywhere.
  • And it shows that lives of others other than Americans Mexicans included are expendable.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Sanju
This movie was watched at  Laxmi Theatre, Tavarakere.
  • This movie is great.
  • I fully enjoyed it.
  • I also agree with some that even if Sanjay Dutt was actually playing the role of Sanjay Dutt this movie would have become such a hit like it has.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Ant Man and The Wasp
This movie was watched at Inox, Bhavani Mall.
  • I totally liked the movie.
  • I mean Hollywood movies are the ultimate in the world.
  • Bollywood movies can't even touch the feet of a movie like this.
  • What thinking of the human brain.
  • Totally mind boggling and definitely worth watching.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Mission Impossible Fallout
This movie was watched at Inox Bhavani Mall
  • Definitely worth watching.
  • Movie proves that Tom Cruise is one of the ultimate stars of the planet.
  • Henry Cavill also does great work as villian.
  • A nuclear fallout is bad.
  • And if it happens at the place where rivers originate is worse.
  • Hope policy makers take note and pledge never to use nuclear weapons ever.
  • Tom Cruise also happens to touch India in the movie albeit through "Indian Controlled Kashmir" which was conveniently censored.
  • As far as I remember India has been avoided altogether in all the Mission Impossible series movies.
  • In the end scene he also mentions the phrase "half of the Indian Army" which proves that there is Illuminati support for Indian occupation of Kashmir and Tom Cruise is definitely Illuminati person and he has endorsed it.
  • Since Tom Cruise is involved in Church of Scientology and stuff he is an Illuminati person
  • But in Mummy 4 movie also I had commented that any other actor would not have played the role of Tom Cruise same thing I am inclined to repeat here.
  • Because the hero is Tom Cruise whatever happens in the movie can happen like "Impossible" scenes shown.
