Lust Stories, The Host, Delhi Crimes

Watched two movies and one series as mentioned above in the subject line.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Lust Stories
  • This is the "prequel" of  "Ghost Stories"
  • After its success only they made "Ghost Stories"
  • Consists of four small stories.
  • Worth watching according to me.
  • But not all stories are the same.
  • The Kiara Advani episode is the best according to me.
  • It is comedic and that was required.
  • Rest stories are serious and/or sad I felt.
  • This was watched on Netflix.
-------------------------------------------------------------
The Host
  • This South Korean movie was watched on Netflix.
  • The same director who directed "Parasite" has directed this movie.
  • Though this is 2006 movie this is quite developed and advanced.
  • Worth watching according to me.
  • Korean movies are a class of their own. Definitely we can say that.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Delhi Crimes
  • This series was watched on Netflix.
  • This is seven part series.
  • It deals with Nirbhaya gang rape and murder.
  • Very good quality of film making.
  • Since they have named it Delhi Crimes they have kept open for future "crimes" to be covered as well.
  • I guess they can now make on February 2020 Delhi riots.
  • I am just kidding because as long as BJP and AAP are in power, a series on riots can never be made.
  • They cannot make a series on the riots because for that the "guilty" would need to be punished.
  • If the guilty are not at all caught or let off after being caught there is no question of them getting punished. That is extreme.
  • But in this series episodes they have dealt with from beginning till the end.
  • The end is the situation where the main person (Ram Singh in real life) and Jai Singh in the series commits "suicide".
  • That was "murder" of justice as well.
  • And the juvenile was sent to remand home where he was out after three years.
  • And four remained on death row till now.
  • The last episode also touched upon an incident where same kind of crime had happened with a beer bottle just a few months back and the victim had died but this case got tremendous attention because "circumstances" were different. Here is the Link

Delhi Riots and False Gods

  • I will write this post about the subject "Delhi Riots and False Gods"
  • Delhi Riots which happened last week post Feb 23 proves one thing and one thing only.
  • That Hindus are praying to false Gods.
  • God cannot be evil.
  • And the Delhi riots which happened was manifestation of evil.
  • And hence Hindus are either playing to Gods which have no existence or effect or are inherently demonic or satanic.
  • How else can you explain it.
  • Feb 21st was Mahashivratri and Hindus prayed like hell to Lord Shiva.
  • Praying like hell to the God and it fills the Hindus with "hatred".
  • Hatred made them on Feb 23 to make plans to attack Anti CAA protestors majority of whom happened to Muslim.
  • There is one more issue now about the struggle about whose God is real and whose is not.
  • If world leaders and think tanks of the world cannot realise it then it is too late.
  • It is not like the Gods of Hindus are the ultimate Gods.
  • If that would have been fact then Gods cannot be evil.
  • God cannot kill innocent people and people carrying about their daily lives.
  • If you think that Hindus are on the "right side" then the Gods of Hindus must be "right".
  • In that case what happened which was "right" but it was not.
  • Because killing people is not right.
  • Attacking in groups and cutting electricity and chasing people out of their homes and attacking them and burning their property is not right.
  • If that is right then the right is "evil" and Hindu Gods are "evil" and their followers are "evil" and evil is "satanic" or "demonic" and so Hindus are "Satanic" or demonic.
  • And Hinduism is a Satanic cult which makes people who have respect for all and humanity left with them are enemies of Hindus.
  • Just think about it.
  • Be on the right side and stop praying to "False Gods".
  • As False Gods cannot give any result or the result they give would be like being under the demonic forces control by giving rise to hatred inside you.
  • And you commit worst atrocities possible in the world on your fellow citizens.

Venom, Laal Kaptaan, Ghost Stories, The Wandering Earth

Watched four movies as mentioned above.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Venom
  • This movie was watched on Amazon prime Video.
  • I liked the movie.
  • How the Venom finds a host who is a perfect match and then turns into "good".
  • Worth watching according to me
-------------------------------------------------------------
Laal Kaptaan
  • This movie was watched on Amazon Prime Video.
  • I liked the movie.
  • Basically you need to watch the movie with subtitles to enjoy the movie.
  • As the language spoken is Hindi-Bundelkhandi mix.
  • I will say my respect for Saif Ali Khan has increased tremendously.
  • I have begun to realise that he choses his work and does those.
  • This movie is shot at actual locations mostly in Rajasthan and some in UP.
  • It is tremendous project.
  • Basically what is shown is here is Battle of Buxar which made the English the sole ruler of Indian plains and India.
  • Battle of Plassey was the main battle which made Bengal a subjugate of British.
  • But Battle of Buxar opened the entire plains of India "open" to British.
  • Those who sided with them were made "temporary" rulers but they were to fall subsequently when their use was no longer required.
  • And the British used one power against another to degrade and eliminate the rulers until they came to dominate the entire Indian subcontinent.
  • We have all read history.
  • But this allows us to revisit as we see the English gave no option to the rulers of that time.
  • It was either join them or get eliminated as "traitors".
  • I am sad this movie ended as a box office failure.
  • I will recommend all to watch this.
-------------------------------------------------------------
The Wandering Earth
  • I saw this movie on Netflix.
  • Yes people I joined or rather rejoined Netflix for one month only.
  • And I joined Netflix for watching "The Wandering Earth" movie.
  • So this was the first thing I watched.
  • I had heard a lot about this movie.
  • This is a Chinese movie and it shows the Chinese way of thinking.
  • Chinese show that humanity has hope and will work together and become successful.
  • But the Indian mentality is people think about their own selfish interests and will undercut each other and if crisis emerges they will not survive.
  • This movie seemed so real when the movie ends we feel the world has already reached the technological levels shown in the movie but the reality is not so and you feel sad as the level shown the movie is very high.
  • The special effects are too good.
  • This movie is definitely worth watching .
  • And as far as Parasite won Oscar award, I would have appreciated if a Chinese movie would have won the Oscar Award as South Korea is one of America's allies.
  • If so called America "competitor" or "enemy" or a "country diametrically opposite to America's views" country's movie would have won the Award that would have more more sense and would have shown true "inclusiveness" and not appeared just as a token of appreciation to America's allies.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Ghost Stories
  • This movie was seen on Netflix.
  • It is a collection of four short stories, Bird, Nurse, Monster and Granny.
  • Each story has plenty of "brain matter" to think about.
  • Each story has plenty of "post story" ramifications.
  • (Spoiler Alert)
  • Bird deals with miscarriage and how touching nests of birds in young age affects a woman in old age.
  • Nurse deals with the story of neglect of senior citizen and leaves us wondering whether in the end she posseses the nurse.
  • Monster deals with the fact as to how big town swallows small towns and destroys those completely. Though what story is shown is actually happening in the dream of the protagonist.
  • Granny deals with the fact that people who leave us never truly leave us. More than just their thoughts remain with us. It also leads to fundamental question as to what is death. Whether it leads to rebirth or just passing over to the "other side". And whether Christians undergo rebirth or just Hindus. Also the "seniors" always remain seniors no matter what even when they leave us.

Kaithi, Parasite

Watched two movies as mentioned in the subject line.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Kaithi
  • This Tamil movie with English subtitles was watched on Hotstar.
  • For watching this movie I became a member of Hotstar once more.
  • I could have become a Hotstar VIP member (Rs375 per annum) but I chose to become Premium member which was Rs 999 per annum.
  • I liked the movie.
  • Worth watching.
  • Movie is full of "goose bump moments".
  • Highly recommended to watch.
  • The attraction of the movie is the "gattling gun"
  • It is movie full of brawn and high octane action.
  • Though some gaps are there in the movie, you tolerate those as you want the good guys to win.
  • And that is secret of movies becoming successful, inspite of little losses the good guys should always win.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Parasite
  • This Korean movie with English subtitles was watched at PVR Cinemas, Forum mall.
  • I must say PVR Cinemas gives out voucher and based on points which you earn while watching movies.
  • And using one such voucher of Rs 50 I watched the last movie Jawani Janeman.
  • For this movie I redeemed Payback points and got a Rs 100 voucher with which I watched this.
  • This movie is great.
  • At least the second half is great and is fully gripping.
  • And in the second half there is endless possibilities of how the movie might turn out.
  • While the parents are out shopping for their kid's birth day, the kid is inside the American outdoor tent and people have gathered all around for afternoon party and the driver-father is looking suspicious and stuff and I had the feeling that the father-driver killed the kid as he was going out escaping as the kid could read morse code which was being sent out by the person trapped below.
  • But then as the movie progressed the kid is alive is shown and it gave me a sense of relief but just then the father Mr Park gets stabbed.
  • The kid then faints and has to be rushed to hospital in 15 minutes.
  • We do not know if the kid survived or not.
  • And it can only happen in Korea and in a Korean movie.
  • As above the 38th Parallel lies North Korea who are the same as South Korea except for the abject poverty.
  • Also in any other country it is doubtful if the person who has stabbed his owner can hide like the driver-father does.
  • Maybe the director just stops short of declaring that the driver-father and his family are North Korean immigrants and the income disparity is worthwhile.
  • Anyway it is highly unlikely that any family will keep people without reference or police verification like is shown in the movie
  • Or a kid with fits and fainting spell which requires 15 minute window to take to hospital would be allowed outside in tent unsupervised in the rain for full night while the parents doze off inside the house.
  • Or a building with a subterranean chamber will escape notice of prospective owners.
  • But that is the magic of cinema. As it makes your brain that these many possibilities are possible or impossible to happen.

Natural State of Hair and beard Part 4 (Concluded)

  • This blog post is in continuation of the earlier post Natural-state-of-hair-and-beard-part-3
  • In 2013 I began using Moser Hair trimmer since August 2013 and loved it.
  • Main reason was that my visits to the barber stopped completely.
  • Sometimes I needed to go to the saloon twice a fortnight to get the perfect cut.
  • Moser hair Clipper
  • Now with the above trimmer, I could get the perfect cut on my own.
  • There was no need for me to visit any saloon.
  • It was something new to me.
  • Let me confess that with the Moser trimmer you cannot give yourself a "stylish cut".
  • You can cut your hair short, too short like 1 cm or 1.5 cm or even lesser than that though there are settings for longer hair I have never tried it.
  • Enjoyed the Moser trimmer for 6 and half years.
  • In between I have bought two more Moser trimmers.
  • One Moser trimmer I had bought was duplicate Chinese model.
  • Original are "Made in Germany" but the Chinese one written as "Made as Germany"
  • Also the Chinese model used to shut down itself after 2 minutes maybe due to heat(?) and then restart.
  • The Chinese one costs considerably less maybe 50% of the original and that is one way to identify the duplicate.
  • I started using Moser trimmer in July 2013 and this year in January 2020 I have decided to stop the usage of Moser trimmer or practice of cutting my hair short.
  • Similar thing happened for beard.
  • I had stopped shaving full beard in May 2013 and then for two or three months I was only shaving the moustache as it was simpler thing to do and the blade lasted longer.
  • That was before I bought a Philips trimmer for beard (around July-August 2013).
  • After that the practice of shaving just the mustache stopped and I felt a deep connection between moustache and beard (like they are linked).
  • Then in the past 6 years I have shaved very little maybe not more than 10 or 15 times and have done it at saloon about 6 or 7 times.
  • Sometimes I visited saloon only for shaving.
  • But in between in those six years I also bought a Philips shaving machine and used it for a month or so. Ultimately, I gave it away in a restaurant to the waiter for free.
  • Now in January 25, 2020 I have bought shaving kit and restarted the daily shaving process.
  • In between (2013-19) I have bought the shaving foam thrice and given it away again and again.
  • Now in January 2020 I have gone traditional and bought the shaving cream and brush and not foam.
  • As far as blade is considered I have bought the use and throw blade of Gillette.
  • Earlier to 2013 when I used to shave daily, I was using the Mach 5 blade of Gillette as its life was more. I had observed that you could use it for 6 months non stop.
  • Now the use and throw blades will last maybe a week or 10 days I feel.
  • Now that is trade off whether you want old blade to last for several months or go for less effective new blades.
  • As far as hair on top of the head is considered, I have decided to let it grow.
  • Let us see how things pan out.
  • I am planning to let it grow so that I can have a "Man Bun".
  • Let is see if it happens.
  • I have seen that it may take upto 1 year to grow the man bun as per Google search.
  • Now related to it is daily shaving.
  • Presently instead of just linking the moustache and beard and keeping the hair on top of the head separate, I have linked all together.
  • The beard and moustache included and the hair on top of the head.
  • Here we again come the Demodex connection.
  • If we do not shave and keep hair on top of the head long, the demodex will find a perfect path to the top of the head and will infest the head.
  • I do not know what the consequence would be but why allow it to lead to it.
  • Better to be shave daily so the Demodex will have a short life of 1 day on your face and will not get the chance to team up and march to the top of your head.
  • And what to do with the hair on top of your head.
  • Since you are not washing it daily as daily washing will lead to head spinning and feeling giddy and feverish.
  • You can do wash it once or twice a week.
  • At least that is what the Google search shows.
  • Washing twice per week is recommended as per different websites available from Google search for normal hair.
  • My practice earlier to January 2020 was daily washing (with very short hair) for more than 25 years.
  • Just I used to wash it with shampoo daily and that was it. I never used conditioner or hair oil and did any other experiments on the hair.
  • Now that has changed in January 2020.
  • I have decided to let my hair grow till I can sport a "man bun" and daily washing is no longer required or recommended or possible.
  • So the natural state of hair is washing once or twice a week and then apply a hair oil.
  • I have chosen to apply Coconut hair oil.
  • But if you want you can apply any other hair.
  • Why apply hair oil you may ask.
  • Because that is "natural state of the hair"
  • If you are not washing it daily then you should keep it in a state which would be easy to keep and maintain.
  • Applying hair oil is a simple way to maintain the hair.
  • And I will recommend that you apply the same hair oil everyday.
  • Do not do too much experiment on the hair and apply different types of oils as that may take a toll on the hair and you may end up losing them and going bald.
  • It is very easy for a man to go bald.
  • Certainly we see many men being bald.
  • Maybe they grew their hair long and did lot of experiments like applying different oils and creams on their hair.
  • I feel going bald is not possible if you keep your hair very short (so short that you can't grip it) and wash daily with shampoo like I was doing for past 28 years.
  • But I am now going into uncharted territory now.
  • I have decided to let my hair grow with daily shaving and applying coconut hair oil daily and washing with shampoo twice a week.
  • Will i grow a beard again? That needs to be seen.
  • My target is to grow that hair this long that I can sport a man bun and then think about the beard.
  • You may ask what my target would be.
  • I can point out to Bigg Boss 13 contestant Vishal Aditya Singh . Maybe resemble something like that.
  • Will I go bald in the process.
  • I surely hope not. But let me mention it that having hair on top of your head is an asset and you will only know about it when you lose it and go bald.
  • It is like having white hair coming about of beard.
  • You are reminded about your age and realise how you will never get younger again when you see white beard coming out of your beard.
  • But becoming bald will hit harder and I can imagine the pain.
  • I must reveal now that if I have any indication that I am going bald then I will reverse the decision of having long hair and "man bun" and go back to pre Jan 2020 when I use to use the Moser trimmer and keep the hair very short.
  • That is for now and concluded.

Jawaani Janeman

  • Watched this movie Jawaani Janeman at PVR Cinemas, Forum Mall.
  • I liked this movie.
  • I mean there are not many actors who can do such kind of roles.
  • They would be more conscious of their image they project to their fans and family members.
  • But Saif Ali Khan carries out the role with ease.
  • And I have read earlier that London is like second home for Saif Ali Khan and he proves it by going the extra mile.
  • He walks the talk so as to speak.
  • Also in many Saif Ali Khan movies he is based out of London or the story is linked to London.
  • This movie is a remake of some European movie (maybe Spanish or French?)
  • But the movie is good nevertheless.
  • There is also thin line between imagination and reality.
  • (SPOILERS FOLLOW)
  • I mean his daughter is pregnant and the father is not available so as grandfather Saif Ali Khan steps into the shoes of father.
  • And since his daughter happens to be born out of chance encounter between Saif Ali Khan and mother Tabu, they never have love for one another but Saif gets to express his love towards his daughter as he does not have "love feelings" for one night stands which he had been doing for much of his life.

Natural State of Hair and beard Part 3

  • This is in continuation of earlier blog post Natural-state-of-hair-and-beard-part-2 and Part-1 earlier to that.
  • Hopefully I will conclude here in Part 3.
  • Because this is a topic I am not too familiar about and am venturing new into this.
  • First we need to have a background as to how things have led to this.
  • Since my school days (Year 1992) when I met a tuition master Mr Raghuram from a Computer Institute (in which my father happened to be owner) told me to have "head bath" daily, I always been having head bath.
  • My 'head bath' exercise was solidified in Mumbai where I heard from a fellow who was doing CA Articleship as me and used to stay in Kalyan that when he used to return everyday he used to have "head bath" after reaching home.
  • Now I never bathed twice daily but every morning I used to have the "head bath".
  • Again, I have observed for more than 25 years that if I keep my hair even a little bit long I mean this long that you can hold it or grip it (maybe 2 inches perhaps) and then I have head bath then I feel feverish and my head spins around. I feel giddy and unwell.
  • So I have been keeping my hair short so short that when we try to grip it you can't.
  • That has been the norm ever since I have been going to saloon alone.
  • Perhaps since 1990 or 1991 I have been going to saloon on my own.
  • Earlier to that my father used to take me to the saloon.
  • I remember an incident when my head was infested with lice and the barber at the saloon got alarmed when he was cutting my hair after seeing the lice and then he paused for a bit and then waited for my father who had gone to purchase groceries and after my father returned complained to him and then probably completed his work after sulking and convincing by my father.
  • After that I have been going to saloon on my own and making special effort to keep my hair short, very short.
  • So short that my grandmother used to say that I looked like a "Bihari" and my uncle used to say that I have become bald.
  • For keeping this short I used to visit saloon several times.
  • If one saloon will not do the job then I will visit another maybe 1 or 2 days later.
  • If it is that short then no need to visit for almost a month.
  • My indication was that if my head started spinning as I used to have head bath daily, then it was time to go for haircut at saloon.
  • Now August 2013 was a landmark moment when a family friend, my fathers friend, an uncle asked me to procure a "Moser hair Clipper/Trimmer".
  • Till that time I had never heard of Moser company or brand and all I had heard of was Moser-Baer which used to supply CD's and DVD's.
  • I then ordered one online from Ebay after I failed to find it in shops and malls.
  • But he could not take it as he left for his native place by the time the product arrived.
  • Then I began to use it myself.
  • And I must say that it was my dream to cut my hair myself.
  • I had made the attempt in Mumbai as well when near Santacruz (West) station I had bought a trimmer in 2001 which was actually for beard and not hair of head.
  • I used to shave completely during that time and was never aware that people would opt to trim beard and not shave (it felt so unnatural to me). I mean shaving was a natural thing to do I felt at that time.
  • When I found that trimmer was not working for hair, I returned it complaining that it was not working and not useful and the shopkeeper showed demo on his hand by trimming some of his hair of the hand but I said I still did not want it and I brought a soap (Camay soap) in exchange. He gladly gave it as it was definitely beneficial to him.
  • Looks like Part 4 will have to be done. I will continue in next post.
