Vikram, Dobara, The Batman, Om

Watched three movies as mentioned above.

Vikram

  • This movie was watched on Disney+ Hotstar.
  • I liked the movie.
  • The secret of a good movie or series is to make it all believable.
  • Vikram is that kind of movie.
  • All the action sequences make you believe that what they have shown is possible.
  • Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, Vinod Jose and Fahadh Faasil all play good roles.
  • I would say it is the role of lifetime for them.

Dobara

  • This movie was watched on big screen.
  • I liked the movie.
  • Classic movie shows this kind of story is Frequency and it is linked to Northern Lights.
  • Rest of the movies can only be like copies of the original.

The Batman

  • This movie was watched on Prime Video.
  • I thought this movie is perfectly made.
  • I mean like all scenes were necessary and required for the director to convey the story.
  • The purpose of the movie is to show that Batman becomes an orphan when his parents are killed.
  • In this movie that history is analysed and so the audience does not feel sad for the fact that Batman becomes orphan when he was young.
  • The city gets flooded in the movie and lot of cleanup required towards the end including the corruption which has infected the society.

Rastrakavach OM

  • This movie was watched on Zee5.
  • This movie and Vikram should be compared.
  • Vikram movie makes impossible action believable.
  • This movie makes impossible action unbelievable.
  • I mean Aditya Roy Kapur has gone amazing transformantion and has done a lot of effort.
  • Shot in Armenia as well.
  • But something is missing.
  • Why movies succeed and some fail no one knows the formula else all would be giving out hits.

Shamshera, Nope, Get Out, Texas Chainsaw, Raksha Bandhan

Watched four movies as mentioned above.

Shamshera

  • This movie is too good. Watched on Amazon Prime Video.
  • The role played by Ranvir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt among others is too good.
  • Ranvir Kapoor weapon of choice is too good. It is like Turgut's weapon.
  • I felt the Samshera weapon is bigger than Turgut weapon.
  • Sanjay Dutt role is like the Sanjay Dutt we have always known.
  • Recent roles of Sanjay Dutt like Samraat Prithviraj does not capture the true essence of his personality.
  • The reason for the failure can be analysed.
  • The area shown is Rajputana but resembles North West Frontier Province or Afghanistan.
  • If the area could have resembled somewhat jungles of Eastern or Western Ghats like RRR movie then the case would have been different.
  • But then racial profile of the tribes would have been different.
  • Now they resemble Pathans but are Hindus like actual Raj Kapoor or Sunil Dutt families are. They are Pathans but Hindus.
  • And Indians felt opposite of this movie.
  • This is why the movie is great.
  • Because I felt this movie is like opposite of Kesari movie which came out in 2019.
  • In Kesari we saw Afghan tribes fighting British Empire and Sikh soldiers. And they were heroes.
  • Here we saw Shamshera's tribes becoming slaves in a fort and fighting British and British Indian soldiers including Sikh foot soldiers.

Nope

  • This movie was watched on big screen.
  • Too good creature effects.
  • I felt people who have spent decades there without knowing such a creature exists is impossible.
  • Or maybe the creature resembling an UFO got more and more hungry.
  • We just don't know.
  • All I can say the movie is worth watching on big screen to get the creature and sound effects.

Get Out

  • This movie where black people are hypnotized and used as slaves (or perhaps organs used for rejuvenating old and diseased people they have not shown in the movie though) is must watch.
  • If not killed for organ harvesting we cannot account for hundreds of missing blacks.
  • Watched on Amazon Prime video.

Texas Chainsaw

  • This is the 2013 of the Texas Chainsaw franchise.
  • Watched on Amazon Prime Video.
  • It shows the family side of the "leatherface" and it shows why family matters.
  • Ultimately Leatherface lives and the enemies who are vigilantes are killed one by one.
  • Not immediately but over the course of several years.

Raksha Bandhan

  • This movie was watched on big screen.
  • Good clean movie.
  • I think this movie should have been set sometime in past like two or three decades ago.
  • As dowry was very much prevalent in the society.
  • If director would have made that way then the movie could have succeeded.
  • But if he has set in present then audience would not accept it as dowry is not that prevalent in the society as per my understanding.
  • But good way to pass time if you have nothing better to day.
  • Good clean Indian family drama set in the heart of Old Delhi.

Lal Sing Chadda, Halloween, Ertugrul

Watched several movies over last few days as mentioned above.

Lal Sing Chaddha

  • This movie was watched on big screen.
  • I found the movie okay but it failed on box office.
  • I think I know why it failed.
  • The reason could be the way the hero strikes conversation with stranger on the train. It doesn't happen like that in real life.
  • Also he is a multi millionaire and why he needs to travel in 2ns class train is not understandable.
  • The wide diversity of roles played by Aamir Khan was too much for the audience.
  • Also the Chaddi-Baniyan (underwear) businessman from South India had no meaning being in the Army where his life could be extinguished anytime. Why he joined that is the big question.
  • But the stunning visual of India Gate when Aamir Khan and Kareena Kappor walk around the monument looks too good on the big screen and that makes it worth it.

Halloween

  • This original 1978 movie was watched on Amazon Prime Video.
  • I know it has many sequels.
  • But the fact you can watch it from beginning makes it worthwhile.
  • Masked serial killer gave rise to many copycats like Scream franchise and others.
  • Wherever serial killers arise you have to look at Michael Myers for inspiration.

Ertugrul Season 4

  • Last I had watched till Episode 87
  • Surprisingly on Episode 87 itself, Ogedai Khan dies.
  • Once Ogedai Khan dies, The Mongols and Noyan declare the agreement between Ogedai and Ertugrul as representative of Seljuk State as null and void.
  • They are after Ertugruls blood but somehow Ertugrul manages to escape and meanwhile after return to his tribe Ertugrul signs peace treaty with the Nicaea Emperor who has sent his son as envoy.
  • Ertugrul also reveals that he never intended to betray the Seljuk state but do peace with Ogedai Khan to buy some time and regroup.
  • Ertugrul has himself crossed the sea to reach Ogedai Khan which means he has gone to Crimea crossing Black sea and met Ogedai there.
  • Ogedai Khan's son comes to Desh-i-Kipchek becomes successor of Mongols and declares one commander of China operations and makes Noyan incharge of Anatolia and declares himself as ruler of Desh-i-Kipchak which is nothing but present day Ukraine.
  • Towards the end Ertugrul and his people begin migration to Sogut which was given to them by the Sultan Keykubad and they have also made peace with Emperor of Nikaea.
  • Noyan meanwhile is making plans for massive invasion of Anatolia.
  • So concludes Season 4. And now Season 5 is to begin

Old, Prithviraj, Hlloween, Ertugrul, Morbius, Tall Grass, Indian Predator

Watched several movies and series as mentioned above.

Old

  • This movie was watched on Amazon Prime Video.
  • I liked the movie
  • How people grow old in a particular beach in one island is shown.
  • And they are used as guinea pigs for medical experiment that is sown.

Samraat Prithviraj

  • This movie was shown in Amazon Prime Video and watched.
  • I liked the movie.
  • The movie failed because its shows "Indian failure".
  • Indians will not tolerate "failure" and hence this bombed in box office.

Halloween Kills

  • This movie was seen on Amazon Prime Video.
  • It shows Michael Myers the deadly serial killer in action.
  • I liked the movie.
  • Worth watching according to me.

Ertugrul Episode 87

  • Last I had seen till Episode 84
  • By Episode 87, Ertugrul has met Ogedai Khan and surprisingly decided to join forces with Ogedai Khan and Noyan.
  • He is convinced that Seljuk Empire is a "dying empire".
  • Many Turks have joined Ogedai.
  • If they don't join forces they face shedding "rivers of blood" and face obliteration according to the Mongols.
  • Three more episodes to go in Season 4 and still Season 5 to go.

Morbius

  • This is superb movie trust me.
  • It shows a scientist who does experiment to cure him of a dreaded and fatal disease and trust me no one could have portrayed the character quite nicely as Jared Leto.
  • Movie is far better than the trailer.
  • Worth watching according to me.

In the Tall Grass

  • This movie was watched on Netflix.
  • This movie shows how people get lost in grasslands with little hope of rescue and escape.
  • Actually this movie carries a hidden message and that is against abortion and idol worship.
  • Movie is worth watching according to me.

Indian Predator : The Butcher of Delhi

  • Watched on Netflix
  • A terrifying story of a serial killer in Delhi.
  • Actually the killer is caught by end of episode 1 and 2 and the third and final episode even before it begins one wonders what they will show in third episode.
  • Then the terrifying story is unraveled in third episode.
  • It is revealed that the killer may have killed more than seven people. Perhaps dozens more.
  • Though they have identified the killer as "Bihari migrant", truth is whether he is Bihari or not does not matter.
  • Racial profiling does not matter. The fact the story is real and ethnicity does not matter.
  • That is what makes it terrifying.
  • One can directly watch the third episode also.

Grey Man, Ertugrul, Uncharted, Red Notice

Watched several movies and series as mentioned above

The Grey Man

  • Watched this movie on Netflix.
  • I liked the movie.
  • Too good action and as said in the movie as well we get to see the most spectacular undercover operation in the history.
  • I mean the hero wins and the villian teams suffers "the most spectacular failure in undercover history."
  • Worth watching according to me.

Ertugrul : Season 4 : Episode 84

  • Last I had seen till Episode 77
  • Now in 7 episodes story has progressed dramatically.
  • Osman got a "wet nurse" and he got used to her milk and now has accepted her as mother.
  • Noyan and Ertugrul have come face to face and Ertugrul has to to accompany Noyan to meet Ogadai Khan the chief of the Mongols as emissary of the Seljuks (most dangerous job in the world).
  • Mongols have taken over Desh-i-Kipchek also known as Cumania including Black Sea and Kyiv after taking over Caspian Sea and Aral Sea..
  • Now Mongols are marching towards the Danube after taking over Tigris, Euphrates, Syr Darya and Amu Darya.
  • The series is in really interesting times and worth watching till last 6 episodes of Season 4.
  • There is still Season 5 to be watched.

Uncharted

  • This movie was watched on Netflix.
  • Worth watching this "adventure of a lifetime".
  • The series does not show anything supernatural or "out of the world".
  • Series of tough challenges like puzzles are shown.
  • It is shown in lighthearted kind of way.
  • This can have a sequel.

Red Notice

  • This movie also shows a like "adventure of a lifetime".
  • Movie progresses from Italy to Russia to London to all around the world.
  • In that sense it is similar to The Grey Man also. The Grey Man also takes you "around the world".
  • This can have a sequel.

India's Freedom Part 2

  • This is continuation of  Part 1
  • Where the Mongols laid waste to Baghdad.
  • Even Arabs suffered greatly at the hands of Mongols and Arabs could not gain prominence in the world for hundreds of years until "Lawrence of Arabia" came along and Oil was discovered in large quantities.
  • Ottoman Empire growth which flourished for more than 500 years is also linked to the decline of Arabs.
  • Hence the equation is not that simple as Hindu vs Muslim.
  • It is actually ethnicity vs ethnicity.
  • Like Michael Jackson said in his song "Black or White" "where your blood comes from...races".
  • After 16th or 17th Centuries the Europeans came along and they saw the internal strifes and struggles between the peoples and kingdoms in the Indian subcontinent and slowly but surely they thought to exploit these weaknesses.
  • After Nadir Shah invasion from Iran (incidentally Iran also rose after descendants of Mongols rose through destroying the old order), Mughal empire declined.
  • Sikh religion was formed over two hundred years from 15th Century. There were 10 Gurus of Sikhism
  • Sikhism was a middle path. Neither it was Hindu, nor Buddhist, nor Islam.
  • It incorporated different aspects of the religions and made a new one.
  • 11th Guru of Sikhism is the holy book Guru Granth Sahib. It has to be judiciously followed by Sikhism followers.
  • Following decline of Mughal empire, Sikh empire and down south Maratha Empire emerged.
  • Problems with Kashmir have their origins since that time i.e. age of Sikh Empire.
  • Then beginning from Bengal and Battle of Plassey and Battle of Buxar, British came to rule the subcontinent of India almost single handedly.
  • They could manage to keep French, Portuguese limited to few enclaves and keep rest of the Colonial powers out including most European for hundreds of years and Japanese during the second World War.
  • The British also kept Russians out through proxy war in Afghanistan. It is known as Great Game
  • What borders the British drew are now the borders of India and Pakistan.
  • Then in 1947 India became free but it truly became free in 1950 when Constitution was adopted.
  • But still it was not "free" in true sense as it was forced to contribute troops and medical personnel to Korean War.
  • But when Korean war went to stalemate, India under Nehru sought to adopt an independent "non-aligned" policy. Non-Alignment
  • In 1962 war between India and China happened and that was the last straw for Nehru Non Aligned approach and Panchseel Agreement. He could not take it and died.
  • We can say from end of Korean War to 1962 War with China. For these 8 years only India was truly 'free'. Even before that China had invaded Tibet in 1959. And India had accepted the Tibetan refugees. Since 1959 peace with China was "under duress" and "under notice". So India was living in a fools paradise by taking on China even indirectly. So for 5 years along India was truly free and independent.
  • Then 1965 War happened and Pakistan allied itself with United States through CENTO.
  • Yes people we have read, just like NATO, there was CENTO (Central Treaty Organization) and SEATO (South East Asia Treaty Organization) in 50's 60's and 70's.
  • CENTO was earlier known as Baghdad Pact. It is also an "allied story" that Iraq was totally destroyed by United States after Soviet Union collapsed through Gulf War after Iraq invaded Kuwait.
  • So the saying goes "To be an enemy of America can be dangerous, but to be a friend is fatal". Just Look at Iraq.
  • Indira Gandhi thought that India was unprotected and hence aligned with USSR which is same as Russia.
  • Till USSR demise till 1991 India was under Soviets or Russians.
  • Then in 1991 there was "Economic Liberalisation" and India came under United States.
  • That phase continued till 2014.
  • With Sonia Gandhi at the helm of ruling party India looked to be under the grip of Italy or European Union.
  • But even Europe is under United States since Second World War.
  • What happened in 2014 that European and American influence has waned and India is more and more under the grip of Jews-Israel and Arabs.
  • With Arabs and Israel coming together. It is getting more and more normalised as years progress. Israel Arab relations
  • So Arabs and Israel will rule India under their proxy Modi.
  • India has never been free or "Hindu". It is a myth.
  • If we look at Pakistan, they are under the grip of more important powers like China or United States. Not like India who under BJP-RSS-Modi are under grip of Israeli-Arab forces.
  • Let us swallow this bitter pill and get on with our lives.
  • And any Hindu-Muslim conflict we see in India is part of the "grand design" to keep the proxies in power.

India's Freedom Part 1

  • Friends the topic of the post is India's Freedom
  • I want to say that India has never been "free" for a long time.
  • In addition to that I would like to say that India has never been "Hindu" for a long time.
  • Even what we feel now India is under "Hindu rule" is actually false
  • India after 2014 under Modi and RSS is now under joint Arab-Israeli rule.
  • Exhibit 1 and Exhibit 2
  • Facebook and Whatsapp and Instagram is owned by Israeli-American Mark Zuckerberg.
  • We know how much Indians are addicted to Facebook and Whatsapp.
  • Hence not only leaders but the people are also under de-facto rule of Jews-Isarel and Arab countries.
  • Let us go to beginning of Christian Era.
  • No let us go even earlier.
  • When Egypt and Mesopotamia were there and Indus Valley Civilization was flourishing.
  • Then there was Aryan invasion from Central Asia and the Indus Valley people fled deeper inside the Indian subcontinent.
  • Some say the Indus Valley people are present day Dravidian mainly Tamils and other Adivasis scattered across the country.
  • Then what happened. It was the age of Vedas and beginning of what is called "Hindu religion"
  • Parallel to Hindu religion Jain religion also flourished.
  • Then Buddhism happened and reign of Ashoka where after Kalinga_War Ashoka made it state religion and Buddhism got exported around the world.
  • For a thousand years it was a struggle between Hindu and Buddhist and Buddhism which was hard to follow got weaker and weaker in India.
  • The Islamic invasions were the last straw for Buddhism.
  • And Hindus found it simpler that what it was not able to do to Buddhism could be done by these Islamic conquests.
  • Thus it was like an unholy axis between Islamic invaders and Hindus who began "revival" of their religion which was unlike "Hinduism" existing earlier.
  • And here we have to see that religion may not be that important as "ethnicity".
  • While initially the Islamic conquests were lead by Turks and that is why the rulers were called Sultans.
  • Next phase were led by Mongol and their descendants and hence Mughal is a corrupted derivation from Mongol.
  • Thus Mughals were descendents of Mongols and not Arabs or Turks.
  • Mongols had laid waste to Khwarazmian empire and even Arabs were not spared from Mongols. We have read in history that they totally destroyed Baghdad
  • I will continue in part 2
