PS 2, Mission Impossible, Bird Box, Lost City

Watched the movies as mentioned above.

PS 2

  • Watched Ponniyin Selan 2 on Amazon Prime Video.
  • I liked the movie.
  • If you liked the first part, this movie connects the dots and concludes the two part movie.
  • Not much killing is shown the movie, looks like the director considered the family audience and did not show much gore.
  • Ok watching once.

Mission Impossible

  • This latest instalment of the Tom Cruise movie was seen on the big screen.
  • It is too good for cinematography and other action scenes.
  • Totally worth your money and time and effort.

Bird Box: Barcelona

  • Watched this movie on Netflix.
  • Too good action sequences and ending leaves you with happy feeling.
  • The fact is what the hero thinks are angels are actually aliens.
  • Why few people do not get affected is not revealed just like the original Bird Box movie.

The Lost City

  • This Sandra Bullock-Channing Tatum movie was watched on Prime Video.
  • Too good adventure/action movie.
  • It is Mummy movie, The Rock's adventure movies "Journey" and movies like Jumanji and Indiana Jones rolled into one.
  • It is underrated and worth watching.
  • Perhaps deserves sequel.
  • How Sandra Bullock maintains herself over decades is truly remarkable.

Ertugrul, Oppenheimer, Black Mirror

Watched the above series as mentioned.

Ertugrul Episode 132

  • Watched Ertugrul Episode 132 of Season 5.
  • Last I had seen was Episode 131
  • Too good series. I am enjoying. Hope to complete it soon.

Oppenheimer

  • Watched this big screen movie.
  • I am pretty sure this movie I could not have watched on small screen.
  • But it is watchable on big screen.
  • I felt what was missing was bowler hats.
  • We can see historical videos especially JFK swearing in ceremony and we find many in audience wearing bowler hats.
  • While the ties are there, the hats are missing in the movie.
  • Perhaps Vietnam war changed the scene and people gave up the hats.

Black Mirror Season VI

  • This new series I watched as soon as was possible.
  • I liked all the episodes.
  • The one "Beyond The Sea" with Josh Hartnett was too good.
  • Come to think about it.
  • Such scene was also shown in "Kingdom of Heaven" movie.
  • Where the loss of family makes one a "Knight of the Crusades"
  • It is not far fetched that one has to be a million miles up in space.
  • One can be thousands of miles away for the story.

Lord of the World Chariot Journey

  • This post is for the Lord of the World or Lord Jagannath.
  • People who follow other Gods may ignore Lord Jagannath.
  • But it is okay because in Hindu religion there are 33 crore Gods and Goddesses, 33 crore means 330 million Gods and Goddesses.
  • So in Hindu religion it is okay and acceptable to place emphasis on one God or Goddess over the other and even pray to multiple Gods and Goddesses at the same time or several times in a day.
  • But in Islam, Sikhism, Buddhist, Zoroastrianism, Judaism and Christianity there is the only one God.
  • Now let us detach ourselves from all religions and think in practical terms and then examine Lord Jagannath of Puri.
  • Jagannath means literally Leader or Lord of the World.
  • World does not just mean Earth. It would mean the entire known Universe whatever is within human beings knowledge.
  • Now there is a period when Lord Jagannath represented by the main trinity of deities Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra come out of the temple and travel in chariot known as "rath" to nearby temple which where they were "born".
  • Now single God believers and anti-idol worshipers will dismiss this entire process and say that Lord cannot be created by human and will say that whole process is like a "ritual" with no value.
  • But I would like to say the entire process has value.
  • In fact it shows that God is real.
  • And Lord Jagannath has the power.
    • People may not have seen God and can only know the reality in the "afterlife".
    • Afterlife is something that can be experienced after death.
    • Hindu religion followers may say that afterlife means rebirth.
    • Christian followers though not reject this concept of afterlife and they refined it to say one will lead the afterlife in the "world of Christ". True believers will get "eternal life" in Christ's world which can be called as "Kingdom of Heaven". And so is the belief.
  • The above points are put in separate bullets as it was a diversion of topic.
  • I will say in Lord Jagannath's domain, The Lord stays in temple for several months.
  • The people come from various parts of the world to visit the Lord and gain their blessings.
  • They have various desires, dreams and some just wish to have a glimpse of the Lord.
  • This process carries on for several months and Lord does not move from his "Garba Gruha".
  • Then during Rath Yatra the Lord steps out and moves to a lesser grand temple.
  • Imagine the Lord of the known universe walks among ordinary mortals and stays in a lesser grander temple.
  • And then makes the journey back after about a fortnight.
  • Now one may decry the Lord but one cannot the decry the humans.
  • People have faith and so they visit the Lord and the Lord's temple throughout the year.
  • One cannot ignore the people.
  • Even if one thinks the God is not real one cannot say the people are not real.
  • Millions visit the temple just to have a glimpse of the Lord.
  • And so Lord gets the power from the people.
  • It is the mutual give and take.
  • People think the Lord has power and so they visit the Lord in droves.
  • The Lord in turn gets the power from the people.
  • That process continues every minute, every day for months on end.
  • Also only "true devotees" can visit the temple.
  • At the main temple at Puri, Odisha non Hindus are not allowed as they will lack the devotion needed. Non-Hindus may ridicule the God and the elaborate rituals and try to interrupt the processes of the temple.
  • Thus through the true devotees the Lord Jagannath gains the "power" the power which comes from the people eyes, mind and physical presence.
  • Then there is the situation where the Lord steps out during the "Chariot Journey" and the power diffuses around the globe and becomes a "Force of Nature".
  • It is a good force of course and the power of God (through the people).
  • By ignoring the God and the rituals we are ridiculing the people and human beings and so we are ridiculing ourselves and there is no way to survive that.
  • Thus the power of God, power of people and power of good and being good is one and the same.
  • One has to be good in this world to survive.
  • This the world or Lord of the World, Lord Jagannath.
  • He is the King of Kings, the one and only Lord of the known Universe.

What is a Woman

  • Saw this pathbreaking movie on Twitter
  • Honestly I did not know that transwoman (that means a man who becomes a woman) can never get pregnant.
  • Who can bear children? Only one who was born as a woman.
  • That is what God created and intended it to be.
  • People who think that those who were men and become women through surgery or having medicines or injecting hormones can become pregnant are crazy.
  • Medical science has not advanced to that stage for now.
  • After all we are all God's creations let us not forget that.
  • The Lord works. Some may say in mysterious ways some may say openly but the fact is that God works and humans are nothing in front of Lord Almighty.
  • The other is even more unbelievable and impossible.
  • Actually I searched if a "transman" (i.e. a woman who has transitioned to be a man through surgery and other means) can produce semen.
  • It is such impossibility that I felt no people in the world would be searching for it.
  • It is just crazy that even search engine might have thought is this person who is searching for it crazy?
  • That is also fact a woman who becomes a man through surgery and medicines and injecting herself with hormones or testosterone and taking puberty blockers can only change voice and/or appearance but can never produce semen.
  • That is a fact. And fact is people should be made aware of this.
  • They think just by looking and feeling as a man they can change their gender.
  • The fact is the yardstick according to me is a woman is one who can bear children.
  • A man is one who can produce semen.
  • Those things come from the internal organs which God has given during birth.
  • We get news that some "so called men" have become pregnant. What these news articles don't tell that the person who got pregnant was earlier a woman. Or maybe there was a tumour os some sort and that made the man looked pregnant.
  • Some men may think women are too beautiful and may want to become one. Vice versa is also possible means a woman may think highly of men and want to become one.
  • It is a sort of unfulfilled desire which they want to fulfill in this life only. They do not know if rebirth is true or not and they cannot wait for next birth even if they believe in the concept.
  • So they will start with cross dressing and then go for this kind of abomination that is gender reassignment surgery.
  • Perhaps even from the heavens it is decided which your gender would be.
  • You cannot change your gender by any surgery and so on.
  • Please do not mix lesbianism, homosexuality and cross-dressing with gender reassignment surgery.
  • Gender reassignment surgery cannot change what you were born as.
  • I feel this LGPT+ movement taking place mainly in western countries is the answer to #Metoo movement.
  • It is a situation of "freedom going rampant".
  • But I guess there has to be a "limit to freedom".
  • Too much freedom gives rise to "porn" and "sexual exploitation"
  • This "freedom" later gave rise to #Metoo movement on one hand and "freedom of expression" of gays, lesbians, animal lovers, cross dressers and ultimately body modification people.
  • "Powerful people" who were the "exploiters" quietly gave encouragement to this LGBTQI+ movement so as to suppress the #Metoo movement.
  • That is my take on the issue.

Decolonisations, Salute, Ghost Stories

Watched the above content online.

Decolonisations, Du Sand Et Des Larmes

  • This was watched on TV5 French Asian channel.
  • This documentary was shown as two part series and shows French colonies and the process of decolonisations.
  • This documentary is also there in Youtube but without subtitles.
  • After seeing this documentary one will not feel good about the French.
  • One may not feel to learn French language.
  • Because once one learns French one will know how racists and "Colonialists" the French were and perhaps still are.
  • French were not willing to give up their colonies so easily.
  • They got defeated in Indo-China but that did not mean victory for VietCong.
  • Soon America got involved and Vietnam suffered immensely.
  • Also French were not willing to give up Algeria.
  • Algerians paid hude price perhaps millions dead for their independence.
  • Also in sub Saharan Africa, French eliminated many leaders who were not willing to work with French and installed their puppet Govts.
  • Perhaps even Rwandan genocide may have been orchestrated by French we just don't know as French were the "peacekeepers" over there. Though nothing about Rwanda is shown in the documentary.
  • But I am glad there is documentary for the same. Made by the French. Maybe the British cannot make a documentary like this.
  • That means French are willing to confront their past and make amends perhaps we don't know (we only think they have made amends).
  • The documentary starts from 1940's stops in the 1970's. It does not show from 1970s till 2020's.

Salute (2016 Movie)

  • This Pakistani movie was wtched on Youtube.
  • This movie was made on the life of Shaheed Aitezaaz Hassan who not caring for his life sacrificed himself.
  • Just to save 400 plus student and staff of his school in 2014 in Hangu, KP province, Pakistan.
  • He tackled the suicide bomber and lost his life in the process.
  • Truly a great sacrifice.
  • Worth watching this movie at leat once.

Ghost Stories

  • This was watched on Netflix.
  • I had seen the movie earlier but had forgotten about it.
  • Recently I saw one interview of Gulshan Devaiah who is great actor by the way and he referred to Ghost stories where he played a character which had lot of prosthetics and make up and it was difficult to do.
  • So I reawatched the series and realisd that there are 4 stories and I had forgotten about three stories.
  • Only first one I remembered a little bit.
  • But still it was worth it to watch a second time after many years.

Black Mirror, Fortress 1&2, Space Walker

Watched the above movies as mentioned above.

Black Mirror: Season 5

  • Watched Season 5 of Black Mirror on Netflix.
  • Too good series.
  • Now that Season 6 is out looking forward to watching it.

Fortress 1&2

  • This Fortress movie two parts was watched back to back on Amazon Prime Video.
  • I liked the movie.
  • Fortress 1 shows the movie in an island retreat for ex-service personnel.
  • Fortress 2 shows Bruce Willis has purchased the retreat from the Govt.
  • Movie is worth watching once.

Space Walker

  • Watched this 2017 Russian movie on Bookmyshow Stream.
  • I liked the movie.
  • Worth watching.
  • Such kind of movie will instill "national pride" in the person who watches it sincerely.

Tailgate, The Silent Ones

Watched the two movies as mentioned above.

Tailgate

  • This Dutch movie was watched on Bookmyshow stream.
  • Too good award winning movie.
  • Somehow the villian felt like "Karma" and gets you in the end.

The Silent Ones

  • Watched this 30 minute short movie on TV5 Monde Asia French channel.
  • Worth watching.
  • How fishermen stray into protected waters and have to hide the secret
