Mirzapur Season 2, Paatallok

  • Completed watching Mirzapur Season 2 and now beginning to watch Paatallok
  • Both series are there on Amazon Prime Video.
  • We have to appeciate Amazon and Prime Video.
  • How they have come from United States and established themselves in India.
  • Their products available on website are procured from the remotest corners of India.
  • Like places we have not heard of ever.
  • Similarly series which they are making is also based in remote districts of India the kind we have never heard.
  • But they are of extreme high quality and worth watching.
  • I completed watching Mirzapur Season 2 and cannot wait for Season 3.
  • Towards the end we find Guddu becomes King of Mirzapur.
  • Kaleen Bhaiya is saved by Sharad Shukla.
  • Now the million dollar question is whether Munna will survive.
  • I do not think the makers will show Munna returning back as he was shot not only by Guddu but by Golu also at point blank range direct to heart.
  • Let us see.
  • Now coming to Paatallok, the series is set in New Delhi and from there it spreads around.
  • Mirzapur series was set in Mirzapur and then it spread around and could manage to reach Lucknow and Bihar in Season 2.
  • Maybe Season 3 they will show Delhi or West Bengal and/or Bangladesh who knows.
  • But Mirzapur is clearly fiction we can know that.
  • But Paatallok looks and feels real.
  • Looks like that is how news channels work.
  • And I have only watched till Episode 3 and already Paatallok has taken to deep part of Punjab and to Chitrakoot distict in UP.
  • One main thing we can notice is the Caste system.
  • That is endemic in India in any part of the country we go to particularly in rural and semi-urban areas.
  • I can also vouch for that.
  • People may not speak in front of you but caste is endemic in India.
  • They know what is your caste and hence deal with you accordingly.
  • Once they get to know you they want to know more of you and important thing is that they learn what caste you belong to.
  • Maybe in very big cities people may not notice it but fact is people know about it in big cities as well.
  • But in big cities work drags on inspite of caste but in smaller towns and villages work may stop.
  • This series Paatallok is an eye opener in that sense.
