Hobbs and Shaw, Judgemental Hai Kya

Watched two movies as mentioned in the subject line.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Hobbs and Shaw
  • This movie was watched at PVR Forum Mall
  • I liked the movie.
  • The special effects and action sequences are just amazing.
  • This is hard core action movie.
  • But there are also comedy elements in the movie especially when Hobbs and Shaw are discussing between themselves.
  • Roman Reigns is also in the movie.
  • I feel the Uso's (brothers) should also have been in the movie.
  • That would have given the complete good "WWE feel".
  • Maybe I have not seen the earlier prequel but I could not get who was controlling the Brixton guy.
  • But anyhow, this movie is worth watching.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Judgemental Hai Kya
  • This movie was watched at PVR Vega City Mall.
  • I liked the movie.
  • Rajkumar has taken  risk by portraying a villainous character.
  • Worth watching if you ask me.
  • Only the reality is revealed in the last five minutes.

The Lion King, Annabelle Comes Home

Watched two movies as mentioned in the subject line.
--------------------------------------------------------------
The Lion King
  • This 3D movie was watched at Lakshmi theatre.
  • I must say I have never seen a movie like this.
  • The animals feel so real. They do not feel like cartoons like the original Lion King movie.
  • I mean how could they even make something like this.
  • This movie is definitely a "Wonder of the world" and deserves to be the greatest grosser of all time.
  • My humble opinion of course. Then we may think why Avatar does not deserve it or Titanic and so on.
  • In the end we can say the movie will find its place.
  • All I want to say the movie deserves all the accolades and more.
  • Looking back we can say the movie "Bahubali" must have been inspired by this Lion King movie.
  • The core story is similar.
  • The movie though based on animal story is very much relevant for human beings.
  • Also for the environment. How reckless plunder of resources can make species go extinct and leave environment devastated.
  • A balance is there in nature and that has to be maintained that is shown in the movie.
  • Movie also shows if we get involved in wrong things for selfish interest the same would bring our downfall like it happened to the villain in the movie.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Annabelle Comes Home
  • This movie was watched at PVR Forum Mall.
  • I liked the movie.
  • The movie has got its scary moments.
  • But no one dies the movie and that is good for the "feel good" factor.
  • I remember earlier horror movies from 1970's and 80's and 90's had a blot of blood and gore.
  • Now I guess they scare a bit and then leave us with warm and fuzzy feeling.
  • Like in the movie towards the end they show inspite of all evil things in the Warren room for collectibles in the basement, they could still have birthday party upstairs.
  • Thus this movie shows it is possible for evil to exist beside us if it is "contained" and no harm in that.
  • We do not need to destroy evil, just keep it contained and good and evil can co-exist. That is shown in the movie.

Malaal, Spiderman Far from home, Super 30

Watched three movies as mentioned in the subject line.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Malaal
  • Watched this movie at PVR Forum Mall
  • I liked the movie.
  • If you watch the trailer you may not feel like watching the movie and feel booking a ticket was a mistake.
  • But if you watch the movie you feel good and guess the movie is worth watching.
  • They have captured late 90's and early 2000's Mumbai quite well in the movie.
  • And then in present time when the heroine is no longer there and hero is successful makes it worth watching.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Spiderman Far from home
  • Watched the movie at Lakshmi theatre, Tavarakere.
  • I liked the movie.
  • How from deep space the villian turns out to be an ordinary guy sitting across the table is shown.
  • But Starc Industries are shown to have technology not existing in the world at least I do not know that such drones are based in satellites and will not burn on reentry is even possible.
  • Movie is okay to be watched once without any problem.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Super 30
  • Watched this movie at Lakshmi theatre, Tavarakere.
  • I liked the movie.
  • Hritik Roshan has played a good role.
  • His brother played by Nandish Singh Sandhu has also done good role.
  • So have Aditya Srivastava who portrays Inspector Abhijeet in CID series and Pankaj Tripathi who was in Maazi movie have also done great acting.
  • Worth watching according to me.
---------------------------------------------------------------

Game of Thrones Documentary

  • Watched Game of Thrones Documentary on Hotstar
  • This shows how the last season was shot.
  • The studios in Northern Ireland were the home the Game of Thrones.
  • Maybe this documentary was released in haste because people were not happy with the way GoT turned out and demanded it be "re-shot".
  • When we see this documentary we realise how difficult it must have been to shoot an episode like Game of Thrones.
  • It is just not possible to be "re shot".
  • All the people making and involved the series are just human.
  • As human beings their ultimate desire is for "closure".
  • Humans tend to get tired and they want an "end to something they started".
  • Just because people were not happy does not mean it needs to be redone.
  • Let us think about the silent majority.
  • For them they would accept things as they happen.
  • That becomes the reality for them.
  • Similarly for Game of Thrones.
  • Adjust to it. Drink it in. That is just the way the makers made it.
  • If you have an active imagination watch something else.
  • Or read a book or write your own book.
  • If possible make your own series.
  • Just don't criticise the makers of something like Game of Thrones.

Khamoshi, Article 15

Watched the movies as mentioned in the subject line.
----------------------------------------------------------
Khamoshi
  • This movie was watched at PVR Forum Mall.
  • PrabhuDeva plays very good role as a cold blooded killer.
  • People die left right and center.
  • But the heroine survives and I guess that is what matters in a movie, the hero and heroine should survive.
----------------------------------------------------------
Article 15
  • This movie was watched at PVR Forum mall.
  • I liked the movie.
  • It shows "New India" or rather "New UP".
  • Credits in the movie thank UP CM Yogi Adityanath and not CM Akhilesh Yadav like in earlier movies based out of UP.
  • So there is bound to be change in the tone of movie. No "rosy picture" anymore.
  • Here Dalits get beaten.
  • Also Dalits have been shown as stubborn where they dump garbage on roads and stuff as a form of resistance.
  • In short they have not been painted as the good guys.
  • There girls are killed and fathers framed.
  • The perpetrators of Gang rape who happened to be upper castes are killed.
  •  But high chance if they would not have been killed they would have got away scot-free.
  • One constable who was involved in gang rape killed himself (highly unlikely because his sister was still alive).
  • The super leader of Upper castes gets elected as MLA or MP not sure because he wants to bring about Dalit upper caste unity.
  • The Dalit leader is killed in encounter though it is not shown what acts of violence he did. Only advocated peaceful resistance.
  • This "New India" where leaders of opposition gets killed while the majority party gets elected is shown openly which is condemn-able.
  • UP is India's largest state with almost 22 crores population as much as next two Indian states combined (Maharashtra and Bihar) or as much as Pakistan.
  • Thus it matters what happens there will reverberate across the country.
  • I will appeal that such big states can be divided into smaller states for better governance.
----------------------------------------------------------

Kabir Singh

Watched the movie as mentioned in the subject line.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Kabir Singh
  • This movie was watched at PVR Forum Mall
  • I liked the movie.
  • But movie has some flaws.
  • A person who never had drugs cannot descend into such madness in one night.
  • He is a topper Doctor student.
  • A drug addict and alcoholic cannot be such a good surgeon and perform hundreds of surgeries in the course of eight months.
  • Nine months or eight months is a short time according to me. Maybe if the window was 5 years it would have been believable.
  • I think they should have increased the time schedule.
  • We have seen movie like that like "Jab We Met" where the hero meets the heroine after 5 years and then manages to "seize her".
  • Maybe since the heroine was to get married immediately they reduced the "time table".
  • So we can say in India everything is linked to the marriage or the "institution of marriage"
  • Also it is told that he has had hundreds of intercourses with this girlfriend and he never gets her pregnant.
  • This I thought about in the movie itself and then they show that the girl is pregnant and later it is disclosed that the child is his.
  • I mean hundreds of time they did but she did not get pregnant?
  • And how does he find her. When he is driving around and sees her sitting in a park.
  • I mean highly likely someone will find some one like that.
  • It is like 1 in a million chance if not 1 in a billion. I mean what are the chances a that you drive in a random way and happen to spot your girlfriend from some distance away in a park from your bike sitting in a pregnant state.
  • But is okay because in movie wild things do happen.
  • Also the Doctor becomes a characterless person in nine months time.
  • Here also they should have increased the time table.
  • It is highly unlikely that one will descend so much down in eight months.
  • And then he loses his job and is suspended to reform himself.
  • He gets second chance and then he meets his ex girlfriend.
  • Is it even possible.
  • One who has descended so much into the darkness cannot reform himself highly unlikely.
  • Maybe that Director wants to tell you even the worst character can become good.
  • Maybe this is the India that we know off or maybe the world.
  • Some say Jesus Christ had come to India for many years (the hidden years) and where he got "his knowledge" and then went back to Palestine to "face the music" and thus began the religion of Christianity that we know of and hold dear.
  • Maybe life is all about giving these "second chances"
  • As long there is life there is hope.
-----------------------------------------------------------

Bharat, The Tashkent Files

Watched two movies as mentioned in the subject line.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Bharat
  • This movie was watched at PVR Forum Mall.
  • I liked the movie.
  • The mines scene in the movie is just unbelieavable.
  • I mean I understand during oil wells and gas wells you do not need to descend inside a mine.
  • Maybe it is required during coal mine and diamond and other metals and minerals.
  • Maybe what Salman Khan wanted to shoot would have been in a coal mine like what exists in Jharkhand and Bihar stuff films like "Kaala Pathar" were made off.
  • But it would be difficult and prove more expensive and challenging and so maybe he took the easy way out and shot the movie in Middle East giving oil as a reference.
  • In the last scene while Salman's shop is being destroyed we find that it is still full of goods.
  • Maybe he should have removed the groceries before destroying the shop.
---------------------------------------------------------------
The Tashkent Files
  • This movie was watched at PVR Vega City.
  • This is a 3 hour long propaganda movie.
  • It fits into the category of movies like
    • Uri
    • PM Narendra Modi
    • The Least of These
    • Haseena Parkar
    • Indu Sarkar
    • The Accidental Prime Minister, etc. movies which have been made to absolve the Sangh parivaar of any wrongs and criticise the Congress Party, Pakistan, Christians, Indira Gandhi, Sanjay Gandhi and the opposition and paint them as the bad guys.
  • I will say that this movie shows that how for money Indira Gandhi sold Indian interests to USSR.
  • It does not criticise Jawaharlal Nehru but wants Shastri to be PM succeeding Nehru which did not happen.
  • I will say it is not simple to just put everything in terms of money.
  • There is also ideology.
  • India was proponent of Non Aligned Movement (NAM) and the film makes no mention of that.
  • Pakistan was an outpost of NATO/US to tap into the Soviet Union.
  • And Bangladesh was outcome of Soviet project of involvement in dismemberment of East Pakistan from West Pakistan.
  • India and Indira Gandhi played a very big part in the project.
  • And even decades after Soviet Union fell, Communists still ruled over West bengal and Tripura which was like a de-facto base for the "liberation of East Pakistan"
  • So friends in the RSS please do not think that US is a very holy country and Soviet union is all villian.
  • We should not sacrifice what is right just to be friends with US or any other country.
  • Please do not forget that imperialsism had to be got rid of first.
  • India got independence from Imperialists in 1947, other countries in Asia and Africa it was still ongoing affair.
  • Do not forget that at that time Vietnam war was still raging where an innocent country was subject to brutal war from all sides.
  • Just think about it. What happened was right. Accept it.
  • You cannot rewrite history by twisting it.
  • Rather you people have been given mandate do something good for future. Do not spoil it by propaganda.
---------------------------------------------------------------
