Beard is back

  • This blog post is to notify that my beard is back.
  • Link 1
  • Link 2
  • Link 3
  • Link 4
  • Link 5
  • First you may want to read the above posts. All those posts pertain to shaving and hair and so on.
  • Since Jan 26, 2020 I had started daily shaving.
  • Now on June 29, 2020 it was my last day of shaving.
  • I have reverted to pre-Jan 26 position of not shaving which I have been following with partial interjections of shaving since May 2013.
  • I had bought blades for the same.
    • First I bought Gillette Presto Razor
    • I found the above razor lasts for 1 week of daily shaves. Or maximum eight days. After that there is skin irritation and so on.
    • Next I bought Gillette Vector Plus
    • I found the above razor lasts for 10 days of shave.
    • Third I bought Laser Reflex 3
    • The above razor lasts for 11 days.
    • All the above razors were used for daily shaving and last day was reserved for underarm (armpits) shaving.
    • The above (Laser Reflex 3) was bought from Star Market as buy 1 get 1 offer.
    • Fourth and final I bought Supermax 3 SMX razor
    • This Supermax 3 razor I never got chance to use because I got it exchanged.
    • The shop from which I had bough refused to take it back as their policy was exchange within 3 days.
    • So I took to another shop and he asked if seven days had passed, I told more than seven days were already gone. But he was kind enough to take it as exchange.
    • So I bought other items and he adjusted the razor price in the final bill.
  • Now I am back to daily head bath and no shaving and today is fourth day of no shaving.
  • What is the reason for the same you may ask?
  • I will say I had a pain on right side of nose. It was like mosquito bite or bee sting.
  • There was no boil but reddish swelling on the nose right side.
  • I was continuing daily shaving.
  • Why it happened?
  • Maybe the blade exceeded 10 days.
  • But my theory is that the Demodex or tiny organisms that live on our faces did not find a place to stay as I was doing daily shaving.
  • They needed a place to stay and when we don't shave our entire face is available for them to spread around.
  • Our facial hair or beard is like a thick forest for these tiny organisms to spread around and enjoy themselves.
  • When we did not give them space they decided to "take revenge" and made a hardened structure in the nose and that was the cause for swelling and pain.
  • When I stopped shaving immediately in 1 or two days the pain stopped.
  • A small swelling is there now but there is no pain.
  • Another reason I had mentioned for daily shaving is that "beard is just one of the earthly possessions which we leave behind when we will die" and hence no need to treasure the beard.
  • But what happens that beard grows on by itself.
  • If we do not shave or in other words take active action the beard grows on its own.
  • So it is a God given gift or feature. And hence we should not shun it.
  • We do not know what happens after death, it is a mystery and hence no need to force something like shaving.
  • Maybe the soul also grows a beard or keeps growing the beard if there is no rebirth.
  • Maybe those who have never kept a beard all their lives will grow one after death when they are unable to use "earth's equipment".
  • And hence it is needed to keep an open mind and not force anyone to shave or not shave.

Tik Tok Ban

  • I must say that Tik Tok ban is not good for the country.
  • This has become the hallmark of BJP Ruled India.
  • They just keep banning things.
  • It started in 2015 with male cow (bull slaughter) ban in Maharashtra.
  • Then Maggi Ban.
  • The mother of all bans was old notes ban also called demonetisation.
  • Tik Tok Ban is same like this.
  • People got chance to be stars in Tik Tok and maybe they were making some money through cash back and all by number of views and so on.
  • Now Modi Sarkar has banned it.
  • I do not support it.
  • I am pained.
  • Even more painful is the so called "liberal democracies" are supporting India for this.
  • US, Australia, France, Germany, Japan are supporting India or at lest Indian media is projecting image like that and that is painful.
  • It is like this a step backwards for 1.4 billion people of India.
  • What use is time and progress if we move backwards.
  • BJP will not rest until they send India back to stone age.
  • And that is the painful story.

Malang, Andhadhun

Watched two movies as mentioned in the subject line.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Malang
  • This movie was watched on Netflix.
  • I liked the movie because of the mystery.
  • First you wonder what is happening why is the guy going on killing police officers.
  • Then the story is revealed.
  • But what strikes is that the heroine is shown to be alive.
  • If she is alive are the killings justified.
  • She lost the baby during the assault that could be a reason.
  • But it is doubtful if she would have survived fall from the bridge.
  • And it is doubtful if she can remain hidden from view.
  • But the end scene where it shown the hero and heroine are reunited in a room.
  • Maybe both are dead.
  • Maybe it was the spirit of the heroine which was assisting the hero in the murders.
  • Anyway it is better if the imagination is left to the audience.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Andhadhun
  • This movie was watched on Netflix.
  • Movie is pretty serious like a thriller movie upto the point where the doctor and the assistants decide to help the hero.
  • At that time it becomes a "dark comedy".
  • Movie is okay for a one time watch.

Mostly Sunny

  • Watched the above documentary "Mostly Sunny" on Netflix.
  • Trust me people this is a must watch.
  • It shows how the world changes between Los Angeles, California and Mumbai, India.
  • It is personal story of Karenjit Kaur aka Sunny Leone.
  • Goes to place where she grew up in Canada and shows her family, her husband and brother.
  • This is probably from 2017 when she did not have kids and now kids are added to her family and that is good for her and her family.
  • This is a must watch.
  • It shows the difference between Hollywood and Bollywood.
  • It shows how much difficult it is to work anywhere be it Bollywood or Hollywood.
  • Thousands of people work in Bollywood and how difficult it is make even a single costume.
  • Hundreds of people are involved in lighting, makeup.
  • Sometimes people need to run around and make things ready.
  • That is a task by itself.
  • Casting couch is also shown
  • It seems "willing to compromise" is a must to work in Bollywood.
  • And now they are also putting a line of compromise in application form with checkbox.
  • In Hollywood the problem is you may work very hard but few make it to a place where their future is "settled".
  • Often at the end of their 10 year odd career in porn industry they are left with no money or future and that is a problem in Hollywood.
  • Sunny Leone works hard and that is the reason for her success.
  • Sometimes you get to learn more from such documentaries than from movies.
  • Now I fear the Bollywood industry will be affected by Corona Virus.
  • Because the conditions the craftsmen and other staff live and work are too cramped like in slums.
  • But now there has to be social distancing and quarantine period and so on.
  • Possibly the teams cannot work in multiple projects or locations.
  • Maybe they may shift to a certain location and have to stay put till shooting completes.
  • Costs will increase and quantity of movies may decrease.
  • But there is a chance quality can improve and lifestyle can also improve.

Extraction, Sui Dhaga

Watched two movies as mentioned in the subject line.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Extraction
  • This movie was watched on Netflix.
  • I found this movie very well made technically.
  • Action sequences are well coordinated, pictured, sequenced and photographed.
  • But my problem is with $ss licking done for Indians.
  • And there are serious gaps in the plot.
  • Movie is shot in Thailand mostly and they have made it as Bangladesh.
  • Why? because the geography of Thailand will resemble Bangladesh more.
  • Guess the director must have wanted to make the location Pakistan and then opted against it.
  • If he really wanted to lick the Indian $ss he should have made the setting Pakistan.
  • But the director probably wanted to try something different.
  • There are pretty many movies based in Middle East and that includes Pakistan.
  • Guess the director would have been forced to shoot the movie in India or Morocco and pass it off as Pakistan.
  • But he opted for Thailand which was made "Bangladesh".
  • So Bangladesh is made "scapegoat".
  • Director probably though he will appeal both to Pakistani and Indian audiences by setting it in Bangladesh.
  • The movies body count is too high.
  • Hundreds die in firing and blasts and so on.
  • Why? Because an Indian don's son need to be saved. By whom?
  • By Chris Hemsworth who is a mercenary.
  • Tell me isn't a mercenary "on hire". If Bangladeshi don is huge he can buy off the mercenary rather than fight him.
  • Also Randeep Hooda proabably siphoned off the money which was being paid to Chris and his team as he tells his wife in a phone call to take the money and run off if he doesn't call in 12 hours.
  • Chris then holds on to the boy as he is the one who gets his payment back.
  • But then in the last hour the plot is lost.
  • Randeep joins up with Chris to recover the boy.
  • If the Indian don is not paying the money to Chris why is their team working for the boy anyway.
  • Chris and his team are not interested in the money anymore.
  • So loose gaps are there in the plot.
  • Suddenly it is not about money anymore.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Sui Dhaaga : Made In India
  • This movie was watched on Amazon Prime Video.
  • This movie was downloaded in my phone for months but had never watched it.
  • Watched it and liked the movie.
  • Varun Dhavan did good role in the movie.
  • This movie is worth watching.
  • You may fall in love with the characters.
  • You cannot blame nepotism in film industry for any faults.
  • People should realise that suicide is bad and should be avoided at all costs like it happened in the case of Sushant Singh Rajput (SSR).
  • Varun Dhavan is talented actor with good on screen prescence.
  • We cannot blame nepotism for the faults in the film industry.
  • But if SSR did not commit suicide but was murdered than case is different and the killers must be caught, exposed and punished.
  • Like Shekhar Suman had told that a brilliant mind and person like SSR will not commit suicide just like that.
  • He would not have just "given up"
  • If he would have committed then there would have been a suicide note somewhere.
  • Probably the evidence was made to "disappear" like we see in movies.

Shudh Desi Romance, Operation Red Sea

Watched two movies as mentioned in the subject line and as per below.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Shudh Desi Romance
  • This movie was watched on Amazon Prime video
  • This was one of the early movies of Sushant Singh Rajput (SSR)
  • This movie came out in 2013 after "Kai Po Che"
  • I cannot understand that two movies came out in quick succession in 2013
  • And both were huge success.
  • And then in December 2014 came out PK movie.
  • So almost for one and half year why was there was no movie of SSR?
  • And there was only side role of SSR in PK.
  • For this delay and side role Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Hirani are to be blamed if anyone is to be blamed.
  • Then Detective Byomkesh Bakshi came out in April 2015 (which was a flop movie)
  • Then MS Dhoni the Untold Story in September 2016 (this got typecasted SSR as Dhoni).
  • What I see there were huge gaps in SSR career but 2013 was a good year for him.
  • This movie Shudh Desi Romance is shot in various locations in Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur in Rajasthan though the movie is set in Jaipur.
  • Rishi Kapoor is also in the movie.
  • I had not seen the movie until now but I always felt I had seen the movie.
  • So this is an error on my part. I had not seen the movie but I thought I had seen it.
  • So this was the first time I saw it and I liked the movie.
  • Movie budget was 22 crores but made 75 crores according to sources in Wikipedia.
  • So the movie was a hit.
  • Good "feel good" movie and you may fall in love with the characters.
  • Worth watching once if not more times
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Operation Red Sea
  • This movie was already downloaded in my mobile on Amazon Prime video.
  • I came to know when I watched Shudh Desi Romance.
  • I saw it in my Downloads folder. (movie Sui Dhaaga is also there, hope to watch it soon)
  • So after the Shudh Desi Romance movie I went for this and watched it.
  • I must confess I have not seen a more intense action packed movie anywhere.
  • Maybe few Hollywood movies may come close.
  • But some of the most intense battle scenes including jets, helicopters, ships, speedboats, aircrafts gunfights, fistfights, etc can be seen in the movie.
  • In fact from start to end there is nothing but action, action  and more action.
  • I liked the movie.
  • It is set in Middle East and borrows its ideas from Libya, Iraq, Yemen and Syria wars.
  • This is Chinese movie and like "Wandering Earth" is quite well made.
  • The thing I liked in the movie that sets it apart from Hollywood and Bollywood is they show casualties on hero side as well.
  • In Hollywood and Bollywood they will show hero's team coming out on top without any collateral damage or harming of own team.
  • In Hollywood and Bollywood they will show that villian gets completely destroyed in the end.
  • But here though the villians get destroyed portions of them survive and they are also able to inflict damage on the hero i.e. good guys.
  • Worth watching according to me.

Detective Byomkesh Bakshi

  • Watched this "Sushanth Singh Rajput" movie Detective Byomkesh Bakshi on Prime Video.
  • I liked the movie.
  • But I can gauge the mood of the public and they would have not liked the movie.
  • Because I am a connoisseur of the arts I liked the movie.
  • Ordinary public would not have liked this movie.
  • And this movie was just one of the movies which sealed SSR's career.
  • In the movie ending there is a scope of sequel and since SSR was young when this came out in 2015 there could have been several more sequels why just one sequel.
  • But lukewarm response of public sealed the fate of this film.
  • The villain found himself in Sacred games series.
  • SSR found success in Dhoni movie.
  • People must have found the movie too rusty as it shows setting in Second World War Calcutta and shows British, Japanese and Chinese people.
  • Indian people being little simple, must have got bouncers from this movie.
  • As rest of India is not Kolkata or Bengal
  • And World War was a brief history in the history of the world and India and India was not much affected by it.
  • And it is long gone history, people who could relate to it would be dead or very old and what are the chances of them watching this movie.
  • Also people of Bengal may not relate to a Hindi movie, they have got Bengali stars and movie industry.
  • But okay movie to be watched once.
  • In cinema theatre people might have got up and walked away I suspect.
  • People would have thought their money is wasted in cinema theatre.
  • But I watched in Prime Video so I gues it is okay.
  • Second time watch would be a torture I feel.
