Watched the above movie on the big screen and in 3D.
This movie is okay for a one time watch. The earlier movie Part 1 I have watched more than 15 times.
What I found that Part 1 movie was based with current earth technology.
This movie has shown that Earth has harvested the Alien technology and is using for its own benefit as well as for defending itself.
Thus while the earlier movie was "less" science fiction, this is more science fiction and goes to the realm of "warp travel" and outer space including interstellar travel like Star Trek. We can say that very likely Part 3 wont be based out of earth. So the concept of "Independence Day" will lose its relevance. The tile will remain but it wont be the same.
